Something New.....Karhana Fans...

So lets begin...

The vanity vans parked on the dusty outskirts of Cape Town looked like a temporary settlement of oversized tin cans, but inside, the chaos was pure Mumbai. The midday sun beat down mercilessly, yet the vibe near the trailers was buzzing with high-voltage energy. It was Bollywood Week on Khatron Ke Khiladi, and the set had transformed into a whirlwind of retro wigs, dramatic drapes, and relentless banter.
Right along the main paved strip, three trailers sat side-by-side: Farhana's, Jasmin's, and Rubina's. Directly across from them, forming a makeshift courtyard, stood the trailer shared by Avinash, Karan, Rithvik, and Orry.
Avinash, dressed as a slightly confused version of an iconic action hero, stepped out of his van door, adjusting his jacket. "Rithvik! Bro, if this wig slides off during a water stunt, I'm blaming production."
Rithvik tumbled out right behind him, fixing his collar, a mischievous grin already plastered across his face. "Forget the wig, look at the silence over there!" He pointed dramatic fingers toward Farhana's closed trailer door. Jasmin and Rubina were already outside their respective doors, adjusting their dupattas and taking quick mirror selfies.
"Jasmin!" Rithvik shouted across the small gap. "What's happening in trailer number three? Did she fall asleep inside?"
Jasmin burst out laughing, leaning over her narrow aluminum steps. "Are, asking me? She's locked it from the inside! She's been in there for forty-five minutes!"
Rubina stepped down, tossing her hair with trademark grace. "She said she's doing her own saree drape. Farhana doesn't trust the stylists today."
"Oho! Saree drape?" Avinash whistled, banging lightly on Farhana's door with his knuckle. "Farhana! Are you coming out today or directly in Season 16?What special surprise are you hiding?"
Orry stuck his head out from behind Karan's shoulder, holding his phone up to record. "Guys, is she wearing a tent? Why is it taking so long? I need content."
Inside the van, Karan was leaning against his doorframe, casually checking his watch. He looked sharp, effortlessly carrying off his tailored jacket, though he seemed mostly entertained by the sheer volume of his friends shouting outside.
"Farhana, drop the mystery!" Rithvik yelled, pretending to bang down the door. "Rohit sir is going to start the stunt without us!"
Just then, the lock clicked.
The door creaked open, and the chaos halted for a fraction of a second.
Farhana stepped onto the small metal platform of her trailer. The bright South African sunlight hit her directly, making the vibrant, canary-yellow silk saree she wore glow against her skin. The drape was exquisite—traditional, flowing, and completely striking. Her hair fell in soft curls over one shoulder, a stark, gorgeous departure from the sharp leather jackets, cargo pants, and pulled-back hair everyone was used to seeing on her.
For a beat, nobody said a word.
Harsh, who had just walked up with a mic in hand, was the first to break the silence, shouting in his classic deadpan delivery, "Arey! Tayyar hone ko bola tha, heroine banne ko thodi bola tha! Bhai, scene change karo, main script re-write kar raha hoon!"
The crowd exploded into laughter. Jasmin clapped her hands, whistling. "Look at you, Farhana! Wow!"
"Look at our yellow chilli today!" Avinash hollered, clapping Rithvik on the shoulder.
Farhana immediately flicked her hair, her usual sassy armor sliding right back into place despite her cheeks warming up. "Shut up, guys! It's Bollywood week, okay? A heroine steps out like a heroine!"
Everyone was laughing, bantering, and slowly heading toward the shuttle bus. But slightly behind the main group, Karan hadn't moved.
He was still leaning against the doorframe of his van, hands casually tucked into his pockets, silent. It wasn't as if Karan had never seen a beautiful woman before. He was in showbiz; he had dated stunning women, worked alongside models, and was no stranger to glamour. But Farhana had always presented herself to the group as the fiery, sharp-tongued, bold competitor who wouldn't hesitate to push anyone into the mud if a stunt required it.
Seeing her now—wrapped in bright yellow silk, looking ridiculously feminine, soft, and striking—hit him out of nowhere. He was completely stumped.
Rithvik, who was about to walk toward the bus, stopped when he noticed Karan standing like a statue. He walked back, shoved his elbow hard into Karan's ribs, and smirked.
"Tu kyon chup hai?" Rithvik whispered under his breath, leaning in with typical best-friend mischief. "Aise kya ghoor raha hai? Pehle dekha nahi use?"
Karan didn't even blink. His eyes stayed glued to Farhana as she laughed at a joke Jasmin made while stepping down the trailer stairs.
"Dekha to hai..." Karan murmured, his voice lacking its usual sarcastic edge, "...par aaj sundar lag rahi hai."
Rithvik's jaw subtly dropped. He turned to look at Karan, genuinely caught off guard. Karan flirted for sport—he cracked jokes, paid loud compliments, and played around. But this wasn't loud. It was quiet, entirely unscripted, and bizarrely serious. Rithvik's mischievous grin morphed into a knowing, fascinated smirk.
"Acha?" Rithvik hummed quietly, shaking his head. "Toh yeh chal raha hai."
"Shut up, Rithvik," Karan muttered, finally snapping out of his daze and walking forward.
As they all congregated near the foot of the bus steps, the path narrowed. Farhana was holding the pallu of her saree slightly up to avoid dragging it on the gravel. Karan stepped up beside her to let her pass first.
As she looked up to thank him, their eyes caught.
Usually, their eye contact was followed by a smirk, a witty insult, or a competitive glare. This time, Karan just looked down at her and offered a soft, genuine smile—no jokes, no theatrics.
Farhana caught the look and paused mid-step, genuinely taken aback. "Kya ho gaya?" she asked, her voice dropping its defensive edge, brows knitting in mild confusion.
Karan leaned in just an inch, his voice smooth and steady. "Bahut sundar lag rahi ho."
Farhana, the woman who had a fiery comeback for every single person on set, froze. Her mouth opened slightly, but no words came out. The quick-witted, sharp-tongued Farhana Khatro Ke Khiladi was entirely speechless. Her cheeks, already flushed from the Cape Town chill, turned a deep, undeniable shade of crimson.
Karan took in her reaction, a slow, smug expression creeping onto his face. He felt like he had just won an unannounced trophy. He casually strolled past her onto the bus steps, tossing a sly glance over his shoulder.
Behind them, Rithvik was practically vibrating with amusement, watching the exchange like he was sitting in a movie theater with popcorn. Avinash, walking right behind Karan, burst out singing loudly, "Sundar... ati sundar! Kya baat hai!"
"Avinash, tu chup kar!" Farhana finally snapped, her voice high-pitched as she hurried onto the bus, aggressively trying to cool her flushed face with her hand.
The bus ride to the location was a noisy affair, full of group songs, loud laughter, and constant video recording for social media. Yet, underneath the noise, an unspoken thread pulled between two people.
Every few minutes, Farhana would glance toward the front seats, only to catch Karan looking right back at her through the driver's side mirror or over the seat headrest. Every time their eyes met, Karan's grin grew a little wider, and Farhana would immediately look away out the window, biting her bottom lip to suppress a smile that refused to stay down. She was acting like a shy schoolgirl, a reality that irritated her logic but thrilled her heart.
When they finally arrived at the location, the breathtaking scenery.Rohit Shetty stood near the monitors, sun-glasses on, holding his megaphone.
"Welcome guys, to Bollywood Week," Rohit's voice boomed. "Today, before we get to the terrifying part of the stunt, we have a little tribute to iconic Bollywood romance."
The contestants cheered, though somewhat nervously, staring at the freezing tank.
"So," Rohit continued, looking at his crew sheets. "I need two people to recreate a romantic dance. Shagun, Karan... come up here."
A collective, lukewarm "Ooooh" went through the group. The excitement was decidedly average. Everyone knew Karan and Shagun were great friends, but the dynamic was entirely platonic and slightly stiff when it came to performing forced romance.
As music started playing from the speakers, Karan took the stage with Shagun. The dance was cute, but Karan looked hilarious—distinctly awkward, holding Shagun at a distance like she was made of fine china. Shagun had a long-term boyfriend back home, and Karan, being the respectful guy he was, was visibly overthinking every move, consciously making sure he didn't make anything look weird or uncomfortable.
"Bhai, thoda paas toh jaa!" Rithvik shouted from the sidelines, dying of laughter. "Aise lag raha hai tuition class mein partner dance kar raha hai!"
Karan gave Rithvik a glare that plainly said Shut up, I'm trying my best.
Suddenly, Rohit Shetty raised his hand, stopping the music. He looked at Karan, then at the crowd, a wicked smirk on his face. It was as if Rohit had magically read Karan's uncomfortable internal monologue.
"Wait, wait, wait," Rohit said into the mic. "Karan, this isn't working. Where's the intensity? Where's the iconic yellow saree?"
Rohit turned his gaze directly toward Farhana, who was standing beside Jasmin, trying to blend into the background.
"Farhana," Rohit announced. "Kajol was wearing a yellow saree when we shot Gerua for Dilwale. You are wearing a yellow saree today. Get up here."
The crowd erupted into chaotic cheers. Rithvik began hooting loudly, clapping Avinash's hands. "Yes! Rohit sir, full marks for casting!"
Farhana's eyes went wide. "Sir? No, no, sir! Main? Nahi sir, yellow saree wet ho jayegi, sir!" she protested dramatically, throwing her hands in the air, trying to find any excuse.
Karan, standing near the stage, looked at her panic, his awkwardness instantly vanishing, replaced by his signature teasing energy.
"Arey, kitna ladegi?" Karan piped up loudly over the music, smirking at her. "Thoda romance bhi kar le!
The crowd groaned and cheered at his comment.
"Alright," Rohit added, dropping the real twist. "The catch is... you two have to perform the chorus standing inside that ice-water tub."
Farhana gasped, staring at the floating ice cubes. "Sir! Ice water?!
"No excuses. Karan, get in," Rohit ordered.
Karan didn't hesitate. He stepped into the tub first. The moment the ice water hit his legs, his breath caught, his eyes widening in absolute shock. "Oh, damn! Sir, this is actual ice!" he yelled, shivering instantly. He turned to Farhana, who was hesitantly stepping in the tub bantering with Rohit Sir
"Jaldi aa! Chal, jaldi aa!" Karan called out, rubbing his arms desperately. "Main jam raha hoon yahan pe, dramatic dialogue later!"
Grumbling under her breath, Farhana gathered the hem of her yellow saree, lifted it slightly, and stepped into the water. She let out a sharp squeal as the freezing cold hit her skin, nearly losing her balance.
Without thinking, Karan reached out, catching her by her arm and stabilizing her instantly.
"Hold on, hold on," he murmured, his voice suddenly losing its teasing tone as he held her steady.
The romantic track of Gerua began to play softly through the heavy set speakers.
The moment the music filled the air, something shifted completely. The banter quieted down.
Karan pulled her closer to center themselves in the narrow tank. Unlike with Shagun, there was no hesitation, no awkward boundary-checking, and zero distance. His hands comfortably slid around her waist, drawing her flush against him to keep them both balanced in the freezing water.
Farhana didn't flinch. She didn't pull back, didn't joke, and didn't raise a wall. She simply placed her hands naturally on his shoulders, tilting her head back to look at him. She trusted him completely, letting him guide her through the steps without a second thought.
Karan felt a sudden, sharp shock run through him—and it had nothing to do with the ice water.
He had spent weeks watching Farhana on this show. He knew how fierce she was, how guarded she kept herself around most guys, always maintaining a polite but firm distance until she truly let someone in. Yet here she was, draped in thin yellow silk, allowing him to pull her into a close embrace, his hand resting directly over her bare waist, holding her securely against his chest.
The realization hit Karan like a physical weight: She trusts me.
It brought a wave of warmth straight through the freezing cold of the tank.
Following the iconic choreo, Karan supported her back, slowly dipping her down over the water. Farhana held onto his shoulder, her eyes fixed entirely on his, laughing softly as a splash of cold water hit her cheek. Karan guided her back up smoothly, pulling her back tight against his chest in a back-hug, his hand wrapping over her belly, resting right against the silk of her saree.
As he twirled her around to face him for the final frame of the song, their faces were just inches apart.
Farhana was shivering slightly, but she was giggling—a pure, unrestrained, childlike giggle that Karan had almost never heard from her before. She only ever showed that unshielded, joyful side when she felt completely safe.
They locked eyes. The background noise of the set—the crew, Rohit Shetty, Rithvik's whistling—completely faded into white noise.
Karan stood there, feet soaking wet, shivering in ice-cold water, grinning down at her like a teenage boy who had just managed to land a dance with his biggest high school crush. He couldn't take his eyes off her flushed, smiling face.
In that quiet, frozen second, a lightbulb went off in Karan's mind. He wouldn't call it deep, dramatic love—not yet. But there was an undeniable, undeniable pull. Something real, something captivating had anchored itself between them, and he had zero desire to fight it.
And as Farhana looked up at him, feeling the steady, reassuring warmth of his hand holding her securely amidst the ice, she felt the exact same shift. The sharp-tongued competitor had willingly surrendered her guards, feeling entirely at home right where she was.
The song faded out.
"Cut!" Rohit Shetty's voice blasted through the speaker, shattering the spell. "Ex-cel-lent! Perfect shot!"
The entire set burst into loud applause and hooting.
They stood next to each other trying to warm up their feet ..Meanwhile Rohitbsir came and made Farhana's hand wrap around karan's bicep and said "Jodi kamal lag rahi hai na"
As they stepped out of the tank, Rithvik walked up to them, a massive, triumphant grin on his face. "Bhai," Rithvik whispered loudly to Karan, "tu toh Iceland pahunch gaya tha! Acting chal rahi thi ya real feel tha?"
Karan didn't even bother arguing. He just caught Farhana's eye, who was currently hiding her face in her towel, still giggling softly.
"Chup kar, Rithvik," Karan said, a soft, irresistible smile spreading across his lips. "Dhyaan se... heroine hai Meri."
