A Malfoy's Weakness

Hogwarts Express

Lesly Whitmore was entering her fourth year at Hogwarts. She boarded the train at Platform 9 3/4 and began walking through the compartments in search of her friends. 

Her best friend, Daphne Greengrass, and Pansy Parkinson, her dormmate and friend, were sitting in a compartment in the middle of the train. She put her trunk away and opened the compartment door with a loud sigh. She threw herself down in the seat next to Daphne Greengrass and put her arm around her shoulder.

"I'm so happy to see you guys! I can't believe you didn't visit me at all this summer" Lesly tell them both with an accusitory glare.

"I'm sorry! I just got back from holiday in Romania last week." Daphne said, while wrapping Lesly in a hug. 

"My parents had me helping my uncle all summer. It was soo boring. I would have much rather been with you guys." Pansy said as she stood and joined the hug.

"I guess you're forgiven but..." Lesly was cut off by someone opening the compartment door. She looked up and locked eyes with Draco Malfoy. The two had never been friends but saw eachother frequently because of Pansy. 

Draco met Lesly eyes for a second before looking at Pansy with an annoyed look, "Pansy we are two compartments down are you coming?"

"Yes yes be right there" Pansy agreed. She looked at Lesly and Daphne and rolled her eyes," I'll see you guys at school" and called over her shoulder as went to join Draco in his compartment with his usual gang of friends. 

The rest of the ride to Hogwarts was uneventful. They got a pile of Chocolate Frogs and Pumpkin Pasties and talked about Daphne's trip to Romania and the gossip that usually started with the new school year approching. 

Before they knew it, they were entering the Great Hall to watch the annual Sorting Hat ceremony and eating dinner. Afterwards, full and sleepy, Daphne, Lesly and Pansy headed up to their shared dormintory for a good nights sleep.
