this is set in the canon hunger games universe, but we're following a completely original cast of characters. the districts, capitol, games, and overall world are the same, but this is a completely new story with new tributes.
this story is going to have survival, friendships, found family, romance, heartbreak, and unfortunately... a lot of emotional damage. 😭
content warning: this story contains violence, death, injury, grief, blood, discussions of poverty, child death, and some darker themes associated with the hunger games. elowen also has a bone-fragility condition, which is an important part of her life and affects how she approaches certain situations. her condition will never be treated as something that makes her less of a person.
please keep that in mind before reading, especially as the story gets darker.
as for our main girl, elowen is small, sarcastic, stubborn, and knows exactly who she is. she's not fearless, and she's definitely not invincible, but she refuses to let other people decide what she's capable of.
