A/N: I was reading the season 1 QNA and it said Ryujin plays piano, so here's this. Hope you enjoy!

...

Sayeon sighed. Ryujin had gone off for a smoke break, and now she couldn't find her. Sayeon wasn't nearly as good at detecting essence as Ryujin, so she couldn't track her through that. And even if Ryujin had a phone, she probably wouldn't tell Sayeon where she was anyway.

Sayeon headed to areas where she suspected Ryujin would most likely be smoking, and yet to her surprise, Ryujin wasn't in any of them. No decrepit alleyways, no seedy spots, not even any legal smoking areas.

Sayeon was starting to get frustrated. She'd been looking for Ryujin for over 30 minutes, and she couldn't find her anywhere. Iseul and Min were still on their own mission, so she couldn't ask them for help, and she doubted Junwoo would have a clue.

There was no way Ryujin would've outright left their designated area, right? Even just to be a thorn in Sayeon's side, it didn't make much sense to her. At the end of the day, Ryujin wasn't going anywhere.

Sayeon paced in front of a long street. She was about to call Dahee and ask if she'd seen Ryujin, when she realised she could just about hear something... piano? Yeah, that was definitely piano...

It was faint, but it had some reverb, so Sayeon guessed whoever was playing was playing in a large, open space. She knew she should probably just ignore it, but her curiosity was a hunger that was never satiated.

So she followed the playing, taking slow steps as it grew louder and louder. Sayeon wasn't an expert in music, but she could tell whoever was playing was incredibly skilled.

Eventually, she found a large, open warehouse, with a half-open metal door. There was no mistaking it; this was the source of the music.

So she crept inside, keeping her movements as still as possible, and containing her essence as much as she could. Inside, the warehouse was mainly empty, with a few pieces of broken and discarded furniture and debris.

At the back of the warehouse, though, there was a figure hunched in front of a grand piano. The piano itself appeared to be fairly old, judging by the wear and tear across its surface.

And as for the person playing it...

"Ryujin?" Sayeon gasped, softly.

Ryujin abruptly stopped, turning around to glare at Sayeon. Sayeon cursed; her essence must've flared in surprise.

"What do you want, Lee?" Ryujin sighed.

Sayeon realised she had a few questions. Her logical self said she should skip all of them and insist Ryujin come back with her immediately.

But Sayeon had a weakness, and that weakness was curiosity. Besides, she could always rewind if she had to. Either way, this was an opportunity to learn more about Ryujin.

"I didn't know you played piano," Sayeon said, taking a single step closer.

Ryujin shrugged. "'S never came up."

Sayeon gazed over the piano, crossing her arms.

"You seem pretty skilled at it," she said.

"I suppose," Ryujin said. "Not like I'd ever get to go pro or anythin'. Aberrants don't get chances like that."

She was right, and Sayeon could hear just a tinge of resentment. The same resentment Sayeon had felt when she realised she could never be a prosecutor. When all her years of studying had gone to waste.

"Oh well," Sayeon closed her eyes. "Being a member of the corps is far more valuable to society, don't you think?"

"What I think is that you should shut your fu-" Ryujin stopped, before shaking her head. "Forget it. You never change, Lee."

Ryujin walked past her, bumping her shoulder as she headed towards the entrance of the warehouse. Sayeon stayed still for a moment longer, staring at the piano. She indulged her thoughts for a moment: herself and Ryujin, as perfectly normal humans. Herself, as a prosecutor, and Ryujin, a professional musician. The two of them meeting on weekends for drinks, where Ryujin would play music just for her...

"What're you standing around for, Glasses?" Ryujin asked, leaning against the entrance.

"Ah- sorry," Sayeon shook her head. "It's nothing. We should get going."
