So, what was the old saying revolving around?

'Music was created for pure enjoyment, but a blissful amount was always found in only one singular place. What such community would come together to make sure their morale never went down? By loving the harmony of music.'

This was what Reroll had heard his first day moving to a new community, so he caught wind of the culture around him. Was this an exaggeration? Well, it didn't seem that way.

The collective love of music had gathered around in this vast town and did marches in honor of celebrating it every so often, it was in everyday life the longer someone like him stayed. A love so strong, he paid at least a few moments of attention to it's constant presence every time one such march for music began just nearby.. and today there was a marching band right outside Reroll's house.. or rather coming right by actually.

He was a tad curious yet again, glancing out his window in anticipation. Reroll could hear the tooting of course.. and wow that harmony was sure something! He imagined little notes coming from his window into the space of his newly acquired home, but it wasn't some kind of fantasy.

The parade had already passed his front porch by the time he was done listening to the melody from there, was this really why that saying existed?

Hmm.. Reroll should go out to see another one when he found an opportunity to do so.

___

Today was a jovial morning for Reroll, he'd finally used his calendar for once! Why? Because today was also another march.. it seemed like their morale was always so high ever since he'd moved here. But, he didn't want to miss out on watching it up close this time so he would reach for his keys, humming to himself as he unlocked the front door and stepped right out into the welcoming sun's warmth.

" hmmmhhmhm~ "

Reroll thought his humming was pretty good.. or so he says in his mind, but nobody was gonna judge him for a lack of rhythm if the neighbors weren't even here to do that! But right, he needed to get to a venue where he figured the band would stop at after traveling through the whole town again, taking off into a quick sprint after discreetly shuffling his cards.

After an inexplicable amount of walking, it seemed Reroll had reached his destination from all the commotion he was nearing! It looked like some sort of town square, neatly-trimmed bushes revolving around a statue of a person in stone holding up some sort of musical note, how classy.. but the rest of this area had been decorated with festival flags and such, along with people too. Oh right! Reroll had focused on the environment first before uh.. seeing what the parade was celebrating about, and why it had the march at all. Yes he'd marked the date down on his trusty calendar but Reroll didn't account for what the occasion actually was, no? Ehh, what mattered was that he'd find out sooner or later.

Reroll had gotten closer to the crowd, only to see it was more packed than he initially saw from afar which he still planned on getting to the front, just that he'd need to be a little impolite when he pushed through.. aha. But he had an idea most ingenious, to pick a card! Taking the deck of cards stashed right under his hat, he shuffled them and listened to the sound of cardstock moving against eachother before.. he pulled a 'Pie' card? Damn, how was this going to help him get to the front..?

As he looked at a hanging sign hooked up to a post in hopes for something to come up in his head..

Eureka! Throw the pie onto the sign and distract some civilians so they wouldn't mind him running past them in the crowd!?

..Not the best idea, but he didn't want to get looks after he inevitably shoved them to get a first-hand view of the musicians. Speaking of, they hadn't arrived yet.. but anyways, now to use his wondrous aiming skills to his advantage! If he managed to not get noticed in the back first holding an entire freaking pie.

" ookkay.. And a three, a two.. and set! "

Reroll then launched it towards the sign, the splatter of dough mush and a scent of blueberry wafted through the air as it thankfully landed on the waving sign, now tarnished by a blueberry pie from out of nowhere. After that stunt, he went running right into the crowd in a hurry. With an occasional 'sorry' and footsteps on the ground, now he'd reached the front of the crowd where the parade marchers would soon stop by! And if Reroll remembered, there'd be a good chance he'd hear that melody from outside his window again.
