Although it draws inspiration from the beauty of Indian history, traditions, architecture, landscapes, and the atmosphere of ancient kingdoms, Vayunagar and Agnivardhan, along with their characters and events, are fictional.
When the Monsoon Turned Red is not intended to represent any particular historical kingdom, dynasty, ruler, war, or community. The world has been created to explore courage, loyalty, survival, betrayal, and the consequences of a war created by those who seek power.
At its heart, this is the story of two people who were born on opposite sides of a conflict-and of what happens when they begin to question everything they were taught to believe.
