"Hey, guys, how's it going? It's Kurt from Kurt's World. And Welcome to 'The Lesson'. For all of you out there who don't know me, get ready, 'cause you are about to know me. I'm Kurt."
Bottles filled up with suspicious water are already placed at the back of the front seats. Rigs are put in their perfect spot with a total of eight cameras, plus his own phone. Everything was settled to register this revolutionary day for his content creator career.
He wanted to 'talk' to his mother before leaving for the day, but she wasn't home, so he'll get her when he comes back home later. This can wait; no need to rush the process to get to the top.
After asking his viewers to share on their socials about #TheLesson, Kurt starts his Spree ride. He is excited, in slightly frenesi. This day will change his life forever, and he can't wait to start it.
Right after he leaves his house, driving away from his front yard, passing by the 'FOR SALE BY OWNER' sign, his Spree app notifies him of his first drive of the day at 2:12 pm: you.
"Hey, guys, our first passengeeeer!" Kurt announces in a singing voice, picking up his phone to show your face to the camera in front of him. "She is pretty cute, huh?" he chuckles, turning his phone to him again as he reads your name out loud.
"And she lives near me! Right around the corner!" Kurt beams excitedly, heading towards your address. "It's a SpreeSocial from Azusa to Santa Monica Beach. WOW," he chuckles in shock, "this is going to be a looong ride," and he looks to the camera, wiggling his eyebrows, "or it isn't?" he chuckles as he parks in front of your house.
When Kurt stops completely, you walk from your porch to his car, towards the passenger door. You open the door while you hold your personal and inseparable bottle of water with your other hand. "Hey! Kurt, right?"
"Yeah, that's me! Your Spree driver," he beams at you, saying your name next. He glances at the bottle in your hand. You don't notice, but his face becomes annoyed just for a fraction of a second.
"Yeah, that's me!" you chuckle. "Is that okay if I sit in the front with you?" you smile apologetically. "I know my ride is shared and long, and I don't want to take space in the back seat and stop you from taking more passengers. It's my free day at work, and I just like to be on the road and spend the day around the city, but if that's too much- " you are starting to spiral, hard.
"Hey, hey," Kurt calls out your attention, chuckling weakly, bringing you back to Earth. "That's okay, no problem at all, jump on!"
"Oh yeah?" you chuckle, relieved. "Thank you so much, Kurt," you beam back at him, jumping on the car, shutting the door behind you. And as you start to buckle your belt, he pulls away.
Kurt smiles to himself; he is the one who used to get anxious out of nowhere, so seeing someone being the one with anxiety changes the perspective a little.
People usually treat him badly when this happens, but he showing you patience was something completely easy and natural for him to do.
"That was really nice of you, you know?" Kurt confesses after a while. He chuckles shyly. "You didn't have to sit here with me."
You shrug, glancing at him as you play with your bottle in your lap. "Maybe, but I wanted to," you shrug again, like it was nothing special, just you being thoughtful.
It might be nothing to you, but for Kurt? It hit something in him. He smiles awkwardly to himself, shifting on his seat. People are not nice to him usually, so getting this kind of treatment from a pretty girl like you is even more foreign. Him being nice to people is the usual; now the other way around?
He glances at the bottle in your hand, and the annoyance he got earlier has completely passed. He is glad you will not drink from his water bottles.
"Thank you, then," he smiles a little more comfortably. His face is slightly red from your thoughtful gesture. And trying to distract himself, he points to the cameras around you two. "I hope you don't mind the cameras."
