The escape pod door opened with a groan. Jill stepped onto the blaring hot planet, her boots crunching against the ground and leaving footprints.
The eerie silence around her sends a chill down her spine as she taps her helmet and attempts to look first left, then right. But she sees nothing.
From behind her, Jill hears a beeping sound. And then the word "human". Just those two sounds alone send another chill down her back.
She runs back to her ship as an orange creature hurries after her, its six tentacles forcing it to slither along the ground.
Once at her ship, she panics and tries to force the door to shut. But it will not. The door is stuck open.
The orange creature slithers into the purple ship.
Jill looks scared. "Back up." She warns.
"I can help." The creature says and walks over to the escape pod door.
"What can you do? You don't understand the mechanics of this ship."
"I understand more than you think." The creature says and shows Jill a piece of metal in his hand. "I believe this is what your ship is missing."
Jill looked over at the door. Sure enough, it was missing a giant piece of metal right by the door, a gaping hole where the metal used to be.
The creature slithered over and put the metal in the hole, holding his hand there until it sealed shut. Then he slithered out of the ship.
Jill pushed the button to close the ship door. It successfully closed and she began her trip back to Earth.
