Lyon always thought he knew his job.

Use the senses he can and hunt down the beast he can't see.

His team has always done it.

Him, Arron, Nate, Luke, Abby, and Kate.

That is till Cain sent them out to hunt down a level 5 on the eastern side of California.

They were doing what they always did. Abby had an individual barrier around every member as he and Nate went through looking for signs of the beast and attacked from the front, with Luke sending arrows like he had an unlimited supply.

This one was smart, though; it knew to trace back. It knew to break other branches. It knew they couldn't see it, and this was how they were tracking it. He never encountered one so smart before.

He and Nate pulled back; Kate healed what little wounds they had while they attempted to regroup, without the beast closing in on them too much.

"It's smart, dude. How the hell does it know to break branches, so we go looking in another direction?" Nate was exhausted; he was the faster of the 2 frontliners and had spent the last 3 hours running, leading Lyon around.

"Can you stay still for one second, Nate I have to heal the giant open wound on your shoulder." Kate was also tired; she had been using her own magic to keep everyone's stamina high, in addition to healing wounds whenever they popped up.

"Sorry"

Lyon knew that, as the leader, he had to keep spirits somewhat high.

But before he could say anything, they heard a Rustle from above.

Some leaves fell from the trees above the group, catching everyone's attention. Arron quickly grabbed his shield, ready to hold it off, but there wasn't a need.

"Well, I mean, if you guys just looked at it over there, it wouldn't be much of a problem, would it"

The voice was mature, but the face was young.

A girl in the tree above them, maybe 22. Slightly tanned with black and silver hair. A peppered effect you normally see on older guys. Like Cain.

But the thing that froze all of them in place was her eyes.

A bright, blinding gold.

The eyes of a sight. A rare and essential part to every team in the organization.

Lyon bolted up, not caring that he saw a dozen black dots float around in his Vision for a second.

"Jesus, Lyon, slow down your blood pressure!"

"You're a sight." Lyon pointed at the girl, who gave him an annoyed expression

She pointed at herself and replied

"No, I'm Demira"

"What's a Demira?"

"My name, duh"

She sighed and jumped down from her tree

Landing perfectly in front of the group. She patted down her hands on her green shirt; one Lyon is sure was a different color at some point. She shot out her hand.

"Okay, Let's restart. I'm Demira. I've been living here for a while now. You're destroying my woods. Do you want some help seeing that ugly bastard over there so you can leave, or?"

Lyon and the group didn't know what to make of the girl. She was clearly younger than all of them, who have been working together for over 10 years now, but they never had any notification of a sight recently being discovered in this area. They were the group sent out nine out of ten times to pick up sights found this far out from headquarters.
