The shrill sound of an alarm echoed through the quiet bedroom, interrupting the peaceful silence of the early morning.

"Beep... Beep... Beep..."

Felix groaned softly and buried his face deeper into his pillow before lazily reaching toward his bedside table.

Without even opening his eyes completely, he grabbed his phone and turned the alarm off.

For a few seconds, he simply lay there, enjoying the silence.

Then he slowly opened one eye and checked the time.

7:25 A.M.

A relieved sigh escaped his lips.

"There are still five minutes left..."

Felix mumbled sleepily to himself, his voice barely louder than a whisper as a small smile appeared on his face.

Without another thought, he hugged his blanket tighter, turned onto his side and closed his eyes again.

Five more minutes won't hurt...

It's the first day after vacation. Nobody wants to wake up this early anyway.

Unfortunately...

Those five minutes disappeared much faster than Felix expected.

A loud knock suddenly echoed against his bedroom door.

Before Felix could react, the door swung open.

"Felix!" his mother called out firmly, though the warmth in her voice was impossible to miss. She folded her arms as she looked at her son, who was still buried under his blanket.

"Get out of bed right now! You'll be late for college!"

Felix let out the longest sigh imaginable.

"No..."

His mother raised an eyebrow.

"No?"

Felix slowly pulled the blanket away from his face and looked at her with the expression of someone who had just been told the world was ending.

"I don't want to go..." he admitted dramatically, pouting like a little kid. "Vacation ended way too quickly."

His mother couldn't help smiling.

"You've been saying that every year since middle school."

She chuckled before shaking her head.

"You'll enjoy it once you meet your friends again."

At those words...

Felix paused.

Han... Seungmin... Jeongin...

A small smile slowly found its way onto his face.

...They're probably getting ready too.

I guess seeing them again won't be so bad.

He finally sat up and stretched his arms high above his head before yawning.

"Fine," Felix said with a defeated smile as he climbed out of bed. "I'm getting ready."

"Good," his mother replied proudly. "Breakfast will be ready downstairs."

After she left the room, Felix stood silently for a moment.

Sunlight poured through the large bedroom window, filling the room with a soft golden glow.

His room was on the second floor of the house, giving him a perfect view of the quiet neighborhood outside.

Everything looked peaceful.

Today's a new semester...

I wonder what it'll be like.

Hopefully nothing too exciting.

Little did Felix know...

His peaceful college life was about to change forever.

After taking a quick shower and getting dressed in a simple oversized hoodie with jeans, Felix adjusted the straps of his backpack before heading downstairs.

The delicious smell of breakfast immediately filled the air.

His mother was already setting plates on the dining table while humming quietly to herself.

"Perfect timing," she said warmly, placing another plate in front of him. "Sit down before it gets cold."

Felix smiled gratefully before taking his seat.

"Thanks, Mom."

As usual, the moment he started eating, his phone somehow found its way into his hand.

His thumb lazily scrolled through social media while he absentmindedly ate breakfast.

Half the videos weren't even interesting.

He was simply too sleepy to pay attention.

Suddenly-

Ding Dong.

The doorbell rang.

Felix barely looked up.

"I'll get it," his mother said as she walked toward the front door.

A few seconds later...

"Oh! Good morning, Jeongin!"

Felix immediately smiled.

A familiar voice answered politely from outside.

"Good morning, Auntie."

Jeongin stepped inside with his backpack resting comfortably over one shoulder.

He bowed politely before taking off his shoes.

The moment his eyes landed on Felix sitting at the dining table...

A teasing grin spread across his face.

"There you are."

Felix looked up while chewing.

"Morning."

Jeongin walked over and lightly nudged Felix's shoulder.

"Morning?" he repeated with a laugh. "You're still eating? Do you know what time it is?"

Felix glanced at the clock.

His eyes widened.

"...Oops."

Jeongin laughed even harder.

"Hurry up! It's the first day back. I'd rather not be late."

Felix quickly finished the last few bites of breakfast before standing up.

"I'm done!"

His mother handed him a lunch box with a gentle smile.

"Don't forget this."

"I won't."

"And behave."

Felix laughed.

"I always behave."

Jeongin immediately burst into laughter.

"You?" he asked sarcastically, pretending to look shocked. "Behave?"

Felix rolled his eyes.

"Let's just go."

The two friends waved goodbye before stepping outside together.

The cool morning breeze welcomed them as they started walking toward the college, chatting about everything they had missed during the holidays.

Neither of them noticed...

That this ordinary morning would soon become the beginning of a story none of them would ever forget.
