Episode 1: The Persistent Neighbor

​Scene 1: Early Morning at the Neighborhood

​(Tagalog) Umaga pa lang, nasa tapat na si Lily ng gate nina Yuser. Hawak niya ang isang lalagyan ng mainit na pandesal. Bitbit ang kanyang pinakamagandang ngiti, handa na siyang harapin ang "halimaw" ng buhay niya.
​(English) It's early in the morning, and Lily is already in front of Yuser's gate. She is holding a container of warm bread. Carrying her brightest smile, she is ready to face the "monster" of her life.

​Scene 2: The Encounter

​(Tagalog) Lumabas si Yuser mula sa pinto, bihis na para sa trabaho. Nang makita niya si Lily, agad na kumunot ang noo niya at nagdilim ang paningin.

​(English) Yuser steps out of the door, dressed for work. When he sees Lily, his brow immediately furrows and his expression darkens.

​Lily: "Good morning, Yuser! Init pa 'tong pandesal, oh. Para sa breakfast mo."

(Good morning, Yuser! This bread is still warm. It's for your breakfast.)

​Yuser: "Ilang beses ko bang sasabihin sa'yo na huwag kang magpapakita sa harap ng gate ko? Hindi ko kailangan niyan. Itapon mo 'yan sa aso."

(How many times do I have to tell you not to show your face in front of my gate? I don't need that. Feed it to the dogs.)

​Lily: "Grabe ka naman, ang aga-aga ang sungit mo. Healthy 'to, galing sa puso ko!"

(You're too much, it's so early and you're already so grumpy. This is healthy, it came from my heart!)

​Scene 3: The Cold Shoulder

​(Tagalog) Nilagpasan lang ni Yuser si Lily na parang hangin. Binuksan niya ang kanyang motor at mabilis na pinaandar ito, iniwan si Lily sa usok ng tambutso.

​(English) Yuser just brushes past Lily as if she were thin air. He starts his motorcycle and speeds off, leaving Lily in the exhaust smoke.

​Yuser: "Umalis ka na dyan kung ayaw mong masagasaan kita. Huwag kang feeling close, Lily. Magkapitbahay lang tayo, hindi tayo magkaibigan."

(Move out of the way if you don't want to get run over. Don't act like we're close, Lily. We are just neighbors, we aren't friends.)

​Scene 4: Lily's Determination

​(Tagalog) Kahit masakit ang mga salita ni Yuser, hindi nagbago ang ekspresyon ni Lily. Kinagat niya ang isang pandesal at kumaway pa sa papalayong motor ni Yuser.

​(English) Even though Yuser's words were hurtful, Lily's expression didn't change. She took a bite of the bread and even waved at Yuser's departing motorcycle.

​Lily: (Bulong sa sarili) "Gwapo mo sana, kaso ang baho ng ugali mo. Pero okay lang, Yuser... bukas, lulutuan naman kita ng champorado. Tingnan natin kung hindi ka pa bumigay."

(You would be handsome if your attitude didn't stink. But it's okay, Yuser... tomorrow, I'll cook chocolate porridge for you. Let's see if you don't give in then.)

Flashback Scene: The Night of the Rain

​Setting: Two years ago. Isang madilim at maulang gabi sa kalsada malapit sa kanilang subdivision.

​(Tagalog) Umiiyak si Lily sa gilid ng kalsada. Bagong galing siya sa isang masakit na break-up at nawalan pa ng trabaho sa parehong araw. Pakiramdam niya, gumuho na ang mundo niya. Wala siyang dalang payong at basang-basa na sa ulan.

​(English) Lily was crying on the side of the road. She had just gone through a painful break-up and lost her job on the same day. She felt like her world had collapsed. She didn't have an umbrella and was completely drenched in the rain.
