After arriving at the cemetery, James made his way to his parents' graves—victims of a terrible earthquake. He sat down in front of them and began to speak.

"I've decided that I'm going to join a covert spy agency. I have nothing left to lose. I don't want to feel helpless in front of every kind of situation anymore, and you were everything I had..."

His eyes were watery. He kissed two fingers and placed them against the gravestones, changed the water for the flowers, and then walked back toward his car to drive home. The journey was silent; the only sounds were the evening traffic and the music playing on the radio, which at that moment was TACO TRUCK X VB by Lana Del Rey.

James turned up the volume, wiping away a tear, but his mind betrayed him, forcing him to think about that terrible night of the earthquake.

When he arrived home, the first thing he did was check the mail. He noticed a letter from the covert spy agency and opened it.

"James Chao, welcome to the agency as a new recruit in Unit 1587.

After reading it, James closed the letter and placed it inside his bedside drawer.

This is my chance to take control of my life again and do something useful. I can do this, he thought.

Then he fell asleep.

TOMORROW, A NEW LIFE WOULD BEGIN FOR JAMES. TOO BAD HE HAD NO IDEA WHO HE WOULD HAVE TO SHARE IT WITH...
