"Oh no....oh no, no no" Financier muttered to herself as she felt a sharp kick coming from her stomach. The symptoms had been showing for a few months honestly, always feeling nauseous in the mornings, her usual black coffee now making her gag at the smell of it, always feeling exhausted after walking up a simple flight of stairs, she was undoubtedly...pregnant.
She heard a sudden knock, "Financier?" She heard Clotted Cream's voice from outside her door
She quickly composed herself, "Apologies Consul, I will be out in a minute" She opened the door
"Ah, Financier... I was getting concerned"
"Do not worry yourself Consul, I am fine"
"Well, alright then, shall we head off? I have to go against the Council in trade economics today..." He let out a tired sigh before putting on his charming, heart achingly, perfect smile
"Alright..." They headed off to the meeting, not knowing what was in store for them
Two hours later, Financier was in hell, she was forced to smell the horrific incense and perfumes coming from the Elders, she needed to get out of there quick, but the instant she opened her mouth, vomit spewed out, covering the floor. The room erupted into absolute chaos, with Clotted Cream picking her up and hauling her out of there.
He quickly rushed her to his room before being intercepted by Charlotte Russe.
"And just what do you think you are doing?" Charlotte Russe stared him down
"Ah! Well..." For the first time in his life, Clotted Cream was at a loss for words
"Why are you holding your bodyguard like you just got married?" Both Clotted Cream and Financier instantly turned a deep crimson
"Consul...please set me down"
"Ah, yes, right...of course" Clotted Cream gently lowered her onto the ground, where she stood up instantly
"Apologies for taking up your time Lady Charlotte Russe" Financier gave a small nod to Charlotte Russe, subconsciously placing her hand over her stomach
Charlotte Russe instantly knew, "Clotted Cream? Kindly get out of here, I need to talk to your bodyguard"
Clotted Cream gave her a quick bow, still flustered, and left immediately
"You're pregnant, aren't you? And Clotted Cream is the father?" Charlotte Russe checked her nails
Financier lowered her head and started messaging her midsection, "Yes...and he can't know...it'll destroy his reputation, we'll both be banished...you'll be under fire...I need to keep this a secret"
Charlotte Russe grabbed her hands "Financier."
She smiled, "You can do this, don't worry...I will help you through every step of the way...after all, I went through this before"
Palmier...that sweet little cookie, who everyone assumed was just a poor orphan girl who followed Charlotte Russe around
"Also...I think some others know" Charlotte Russe turned and pulled on a curtain, releasing Espresso, Madeleine, Strawberry Crepe, and Custard the III from its confines
"MADELEINE, YOU IDIOT" Espresso growled as he rolled away from underneath Madeleine, who had accidentally fell on top of him
"Whoa!" Strawberry Crepe tumbled onto the floor
"OUT OF MY WAY" Custard the III yelled as he pushed Strawberry Crepe aside, his crown nearly getting crushed in the process
Financier stared at the scene in absolute horror "Charlotte Russe..."
"Well, Strawberry Crepe was messing around with their waffle bots, and implemented medical scanners into them, and while 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 ..." Charlotte Russe stared daggers into their eyes,"They discovered a second heartbeat radiating from 𝘺𝘰𝘶, which led to them telling Espresso, and Madeleine finding out cause of sheer idiocy, and Custard heard Madeleine's yelling" she finished graciously
Madeleine jumped up "FEAR NOT FINANCIER, I SHALL SUMMON THE DIVI-OW!" Espresso whacked him in the back of the head "𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘦" he hissed
Financier let out a soft laugh, "Well, when the baby is born, it's going to have 5 wonderful people looking after it"
Charlotte Russe smiled "Well of course, you couldn't find anyone better"
