Y/N's POV
My phone had been face down for exactly eleven minutes.
Not that I was counting.
Okay.
I was absolutely counting.
I sat cross-legged on the floor of my bedroom, staring at it like somehow that would make it ring faster.
Eleven minutes and thirty-two seconds.
Thirty-three.
Thirty-four.
I groaned and fell backwards onto the carpet.
"This is ridiculous."
I'd already checked my emails seven times.
I'd refreshed my messages.
I'd even restarted my phone because for approximately thirty seconds I'd managed to convince myself that maybe it wasn't receiving calls.
It was.
Unfortunately.
I just wasn't receiving the call.
The one I'd been waiting for all day.
My audition had been weeks ago.
Then came another audition.
Then a callback.
Then another callback.
Then a chemistry read.
And finally, three days ago, I'd been told that I was one of the last girls being considered for the role.
Sage.
Even thinking her name made my stomach twist.
Disney had somehow managed to keep most of the details surrounding the movie under wraps, but everyone knew the important part.
Camp Rock was coming back.
Not a remake.
Not a reboot.
Camp Rock 3.
And the Jonas Brothers were returning.
When I'd first gotten the audition, I'd thought there was absolutely no way.
There had probably been hundreds—maybe thousands—of girls considered for Sage.
Girls with more experience.
Girls with better voices.
Girls who could walk into an audition room without nearly tripping over a chair.
Which, for the record, I had done.
Twice.
Yet somehow I'd made it this far.
My phone suddenly vibrated against the floor.
I shot upright.
For half a second, I couldn't move.
Then I practically launched myself at it.
My agent's name filled the screen.
"Oh my God."
I answered.
"Hi."
Way too fast.
I cleared my throat.
"Hi."
That wasn't much better.
"Y/N?"
"Yeah?"
