Ah, the life of a writer. It's so lonely. I've made solitude my job.
Raindrops are tears in the eyes of the clouds. I think the clouds are depressed. Sometimes I like to go to the Mediterranean Sea to cry. My pain dissolves in the salt of this Mediterranean Sea.
Perhaps if I study literature at university, I could learn writing techniques for novels or poetry. A very useful tool that would help me develop my literary creativity. That's what I lack: literary creativity or literary imagination. Just as painters have artistic creativity or artistic imagination, and singers have musical creativity and musical imagination. Singers need creativity to compose their songs, creating poetry. I don't think I'll ever be a good writer.
I don't know if it's that I don't know how to create stories, or if I can create stories but I'm not good at telling them. If I give my stories to a writer or screenwriter, they'll surely write a good novel or a good movie. I have no imagination. I have no creativity. I only create small stories. Short stories. Everyone can write poetry. Poetry is something natural. I'm sad and I write poetry. Everyone. Each of us has two things: imagination and real-life experience. Everyone has beautiful stories to tell us. Stories of their lives. Stories about real experiences or imagined stories. It would be incredible to be able to write about all those stories, although it seems impossible. When people die, those stories die with them.
If I could talk to a dead person and ask them about their life, I would have an interesting story. With every person I interview, I would collect stories. Children have infinite imaginations.
I have exhausted my imagination. I have none left. I'm working on my novel, and from using my imagination so much, it's run out. I can't think of anything. I have no creativity.
A poet doesn't have to copy another poet or singer.
We have to invent poetry, create something new.
Singers write poetry too. Poetry is the least loved or valued art.
Like Moe Szyslak ("The Simpsons"), who writes poetry naturally without being a poet. Moe Szyslak hasn't studied literature at university. I simply write poetry because I'm sad, and that's how I express myself. I'm not a writer. I don't know how to write a novel. I leave my stories unfinished, and I don't know how to complete them. I can't develop stories; I only know how to write poetry, but only because I'm sad. I do know how to write poetry. Can anyone write poetry? I think when someone is sad or in love, then yes. All singers and musicians write poetry. Song lyrics are verses of poetry; some may be written in prose. I don't know any writing techniques. I'll never be a writer because I don't read. I don't know any Gothic horror novelists. I don't own any books by Edgar Allan Poe or Stephen King, but I do love horror movies and movies in general. Truly intelligent people are those who enjoy reading for pleasure. Since I'm not used to reading books, I don't have the ability to understand texts or make summaries. How can I aspire to be a writer if I'm not a reader? My novels will be nonsensical. They won't be well-structured. Being brave means understanding that you're afraid, that we all are, and embracing that fear, facing it head-on.
Being afraid makes you strong. The amygdala in the brain activates when it detects danger. Brain areas for defense are activated, and hormones like adrenaline and cortisol are released. This prepares us for a rapid "fight or flight" response.
