Chapitre 1 : New beginnings

This is my first time in my new life.

I had always lived in an apartment in Tokyo with both my parents. Now I was going to live alone with my father.

My mother had cheated on my father with my paternal uncle, which led to a big argument between the two of them.

So I had left my childhood home where I had lived with both my parents, now leaving with my father for another city, Kyoto.

I watched the landscapes pass by the window. My black hair fluttered lightly in the spring breeze.

My cat, Mao, was sitting next to me, fast asleep, while my father drove.

"Dad? When are we going to get there?" I asked.

"Soon Shizu" He replied.

I look at this new landscape with temples I've never seen before with admiration.

After waiting in line for minutes, we finally arrived.

The car stopped in front of a pretty, all-grey house, neither too big nor too small. Just cozy enough for two people.

When I got out of the car, a blast of fresh air hit my face.

I looked around at the houses that surrounded me.

"Honey, I'm going to get the keys from the tenant. Please stay here." My father said.

"Okay, dad !" I replied to him.

I sit down on the sidewalk, my legs numb from the long journey.

I pick up my phone and send messages to my friends I had in Tokyo.

The sun was beginning to set. Damn, it would soon be 7 PM.

I heard footsteps approaching. When I turned to look, it wasn't my father but a young man about 1.92 meters tall. - very rare for a Japanese person.

I stood up, scrutinizing him.

He was tall, yes. But he had eyes as green as the tea my mother used to make for me when I was little.

Then, after a few seconds of awkward silence, the man spoke.

"Are you the new girl?"

" I- yes !" Damn it, I've always had the ability to be shy in public and I stammer.

"Oh, i see. I'm the owner's son, I've come to give you the keys"

He handed me a set of keys. With that nonchalant air that made him incredibly charismatic.

"Well, I have to go. I don't think you have a tongue, haha." Bye~."

Just before he could turn around, I grabbed his wrist and asked him his name in such a high-pitched, panicked voice that even I didn't believe it was my own voice.

"Wait! What you're name?"

The young man turns around.

Its scent of coffee mixed with wintery Scotland reached my nostrils.

"My name is Junpei. And yours?"

"I- my name is Shizu!"

"Oh, okay, okay. Pretty name for a pretty girl" Then he left without saying anything.

Her voice echoed in my head like a melody. Pretty girl? Really?

My heart was beating so hard I thought my chest was going to burst.

The wind now brushes against my pink cheeks.

What was happening to me?

Then a familiar voice quickly brings me back to reality.

"Shizu, I haven't been able to find the keys to the apartment or the owner."

My father had returned. And hadn't seen the landlady .

"Dad, the young man gave me the keys to the house. He introduced himself as the owner's son."

"Oh really? Okay. Come on, let me show you the house. You'll see, you'll love it, haha."

I nodded and followed him. And so, I officially entered my new house and the new life that was about to begin.

Character information:

Shizu Arima: She has black hair and azure blue eyes. She likes cats, books, and video games. She can get angry easily, but sometimes she can be too shy. She is 1.60m tall and has Japanese-French ancestry. She loves history and being with her friends, helping her to complete her prodigy assignment at her former school. She has a hidden passion for manga, which she keeps secret because she was bullied in elementary school because of it.

Junpei Kamado : He has black hair and green eyes. He also likes cats, finding them cute, which contrasts sharply with his cold, cold demeanor. He enjoys reading and writing. He loves martial arts as much as he loves theatre. He is 1.92 meters tall, which is rare for a Japanese man but attracts many girls. He refuses any romantic relationship. He has Japanese and Chinese ancestry.

This story was created entirely by me. It's a romance and friendship story, and I did all the drawings myself. This is my first work, so please be respectful. I love you all very much, bye! 🖤
