Chapter 1: U.A.

A unique trait began to appear in newborns, the first in Qingqing City, China, where a baby was born glowing. Ever since then, this phenomenon began to appear all over the world, spreading until eventually, it was accepted as normal.

The world, now 80% filled with unique superpowers, changed, transforming it into a superhuman society where villains caused chaos while heroes saved the day.

The world had to adapt or be left behind.

Japan was the first country to fully lean into heroes, and with their overwhelming success in lowering the crime rate, it was only a matter of time before other countries followed.

This is where my story begins.

Ketsu looked out the window in a daze, his mind thinking about his future. On his desk was a small capsule that projected the results of his entrance exam to U.A, the most prestigious hero academy in Japan.

All the work, the sweat, and the blood that he lost, finally showed the results.

'This is it.' Ketsu leaned back into his chair, covering his eyes with his forearm, a wide smile on his face. 'I made it.'

Examination Results (PASS)

Villain points: 49

Rescue points: 17

Ketsu sighed as he let his arm fall to his side. His mind now blank, he just stared up at the ceiling. "... Now what?"

Checking the time on his computer, he decided to get something to eat before heading to bed.

Walking out of his room and down into the kitchen, he saw his 'big sis' sleeping on the couch, drool visibly going down.

"..." Ketsu sighed before muttering. "Old lady-" Ketsu was immediately shut up when his big sis grabbed his face with an iron grip.

"I'm 18 at heart, little Ketsu..."

The woman who was crushing his face was Ryuko Tsuchikawa, hero name: Pixie-Bob. She wasn't really his big sister, in fact, they weren't related at all. But they still shared a sibling bond with the rest of her team.

"...Mhm." Ketsu's muffled voice was heard from her hand.

Eventually, when Ryuko had had enough of crushing Ketsu, she let go of him before asking about the results. "So, how did it go?"

"I passed." Ketsu answered, smiling.

Ryuko let out a big smile before she crushed him in a hug. "Mhhh! Big sis is happy for you!"

"T-Thank you." Ketsu patted her back.

Ryuko quickly pulled him away by the shoulders. "When the rest comes back, we'll have a big celebration!"

Ketsu let out a grin. "Are we also going to celebrate when I get a girlfriend-"

Ketsu was slammed onto the floor.

The week passed, and it was time for Ketsu to head off towards U.A. By the entrance of the academy, Ketsu looked up at the four towering buildings in the middle, connected to form the shape of an 'H'.

"Man, this building is tall." Ketsu muttered, amazed at the sheer size of the building. He scratched the back of his head, looking around. The trees were swaying in the wind, and students were walking towards their classes.
