Inner Darkness Awakened

It has been two weeks since Spider-Man defeated Venom and Peter remembered with great clarity how the fight was initiated and how it ended. It all started when Spider-Man was swinging from building to building after catching wind that Venom had escaped from prison and caused great harm to the city of New York, killing over 12,000 citizens. Venom tore apart the city... the buildings collapsed on the broken asphalt with torn flesh and bone in every wake. Upon arrival, Spider-Man would be mortified of what's happened to the people in his city. He pledged to himself that no more would die from this senseless slaughter. Suddenly, he noticed the tall and imposing symbiote before him. Venom has arrived and he's ready to feast. The Symbiote bares its sharp teeth out of its own twisted glee as it stares down at Spider-Man. "Hello Webhead. You like the rebranding I've done?" Venom inquires maintaining a deranged smile on his face, happy on the destruction he's done. The Web-Slinger clenches his fist in anger in response to Venom's demented taunts displaying such disregard for human life.

Spider-Man and Venom dash toward one another with the intent to fight to the bitter end. Venom launched swift and lethal strikes with his tendrils, forcing Spider-Man to nimbly evade the Symbiote's attack with superhuman agility. After successfully maneuvering Venom's lethal strikes, Spider-Man swiftly throws punches aimed at the Symbiote's chest and jaw holding nothing back.

The fight between the two lasted for 4 grueling hours before Spider-Man emerged the victor from the confrontation. After Spider-Man's victory, he decided to take Venom back to prison as he approached him. Suddenly, the Symbiote would writhe erratically and latch on Spider-Man. This caused the Web-Slinger to flinch out of instinct and attempt to get the Symbiote off him.

Unfortunately, it was too late. The symbiote is bound to our friendly neighborhood spider. The strange thing about it is.... Peter felt more powerful, like his powers got a dramatic upgrade once wielding the symbiote. The symbiote had abandoned Eddie Brock, seeing Parker as a much better host.

Currently, Spider-Man would be crime fighting per usual. The symbiote only aides Peter's powers and augments it. This made Spider-Man seemingly more effective and ruthless. Day by day, Peter only became more brutal with his criminals the more he wore the symbiote.

The unforeseen brutality caused a great concern within the superhero community considering there were times he almost killed some of his rogues gallery. Heroes became concerned with these violent methods... Miles Morales and Captain Marvel especially were the closest people in Peter's life that were concerned. Captain Marvel decided to make it her choice to talk to Peter about his actions and Miles went with her out of concern for Spider-Man.

The two heroes would set out to New York City after Miles located Peter with his Spider-Tracer gadget, spotting him at the west side of the city. Making haste of the situation, Miles Morales would be in his Spider-Man Suit and he swings from building to building while Captain Marvel flies alongside him as they approach Peter. Captain Marvel was especially worried about the outcome of this fight. Carol loved Peter deeply, so she can't imagine having to kill Peter to defeat this symbiote.

Spider-Man and Captain Marvel arrive at the scene in minutes and land on a rooftop. They would find Symbiote Spider-Man beating down Kingpin with his fists before using his tendrils to grab Kingpin, slamming him to a wall and proceeding to strangle him. "Everything you've done to corrupt this city... I'll make sure it never happens again. You caused enough damage to this city. You DIE today Kingpin!"

The symbiote senses deep within Peter sensed internal conflict within the Webbed hero and decides to speak to him as its voice echoes with false camaraderie, corrupting Peter's morale further. "This must be done Peter. He abuses his wealth and power against the working man that defies him, he invested his illegal gains in legitimate businesses, he's become one of the most powerful criminal leaders in New York and has used his power and influence to build his criminal empire. He even went so far as to make an Anti-Vigilante Campaign to hunt down vigilantes... no body cams, no due process, no warrants."

Peter clenches his fist tightly as he remembers the bad deeds Kingpin has done to only corrupt the city of New York. Even despite what Kingpin has done, a small part of him still couldn't do it. This only irritated the symbiote... its voice echoes once more in a more stern expression, "Not only was that piece of trash going to crack down on vigilantes by disregarding due process, but he also encouraged lethal force. He even threatened a man by the name of Jack Duquesne, The Swordsman, to comply with this stupid campaign or he would send the Anti-Vigilante Task Force after him. Kill him, Peter. With Fisk gone, New York will finally be safe."
