The greatest romances are those that aren't forced. They live in natural encounters, stolen glances and the wandering suspense between the two, would they? Won't they? Every love story has a moment where two worlds collide and form into one, not always with a loud crash or a grand gesture but with the most unexpected collision of two souls,
For a long time high school was the worst experience ever, running on auto pilot, watching the days go by and a quiet continuous feeling of nothingness. The numbness where days start forming together and nothing really stands out anymore, the only grand thought formed isn't learning but wondering if anything would be different today. Today was supposed to be just like any other, another completely ordinary day in the library. At least it was supposed to be this way. It was just a way to pass time while waiting for a class that doesn't really matter. I pulled a book from the shelf called "Frankenstein". Was he humanity's greatest monster, or was he humanity's greatest progress? Big questions of philosophy, natural order and morals, however after an hour with this book passes by, my attention span is still trying to reread the same page over four times, wishing for something, for anything would happen to me. After a dreaded hour the bell finally rang. On my way to return the book, completely out of nowhere came the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen, silky brown hair that shined under the light and eyes that could make anyone fold. It wasn't just that she was standing right in front of me, it was the way she looked at me. In a single, brief second, her gaze caught mine, breaking through quiet detachment. For the first time in as long as I could remember, the emptiness vanished, replaced by a sudden, fluttering wave of butterflies that caught me entirely off guard.
I didn't do any grand gestures, infact I didn't wave or speak at all. I didn't need to. That simple, unexpected interaction burned deep into my memory. It was the exact moment everything changed, the moment my world went from grayscale to vivid color.
I want to find her, NO
I need to find her.
