It was 6 : 32 AM at TwoTeru Paradise High School. Y/N walked into the school, rubbing their eyes with a prolonged yawn. After they re-opened their eyes from their yawn, they saw Anonymous Confession marching towards them anxiously.
"Anonymous Confession? What's with the long face?"
You teased. They didn't usually have a keen expression.
"Uhm.. Y/N?.. I.. I think.. I think Ibuki Guy is racist! O-Or it wouldn't surprise me if they were called out for being so!"
Your playful expression quickly changed to a confused one. Their words were shaky and quick, taking you back a bit at their bold claim.
"Huh? What makes you think that, Anonymous Confession?!"
You grabbed their shoulders, looking them dead in the eyes. The accusation was serious, racism was a huge thing, and you certainly didn't take lightly to it.
"I don't know! I just.. wouldn't be surprised! Like.. you know that nagging feeling you get from your gut when you think something? That's like.. what in getting!"
Anonymous Confession's fists clench by their sides, looking up at you with a fierce expression, not backing down from their bold accusation.
"That's.. I don't know how to respond to that Anonymous Confession. Give me some time to think about this. Meet me in the cafeteria at lunch, okay? I... better get to class."
Without another word, you removed your hands from Anonymous Confession's shoulders, walking faster than usual down the halls, taking sharp turns around the corners. You'd usually stop to chat with friends, but your mind was too deep in thought to process a normal conversation.
As you continue your fast pace down the halls, you see your classroom.
"203."
You take a sharp turn into the room, sitting down at your desk and roughly pulling your backpack off, hitting the floor with a heavy thud. You lean down from your seat and pull out your laptop. You place it on your desk, looking up. You notice an Anonymous Confession walking in, taking their seat next to your seat. You two picked to sit together at the beginning of the year. It was now the third quarter.
You both avoid eye contact. As you look up once again, you notice Ibuki Guy walking in. You briefly glance at Anonymous Confession and then back at Ibuki Guy. Could the accusation really be true? Could Ibuki Guy really be racist? It made no sense for the bold accusation to come out of nowhere, but you still had to consider it.
The bell rings, and the teacher enters the classroom. You shake your head, mentally scolding yourself to focus on the lecture. It was math, and you seriously hated having math at 6:55AM as your first period. At least it was better than Physical Education at 6:55AM, which your friend Aqua did. You tried to focus on the lesson, but your mind kept drifting to the bold accusation Anonymous Confession made.
" Could it really be true?.. "
You thought to yourself over and over again, the words repeating in your head.
" Could it really be true?.. "
You quickly mentally slapped your brain, trying to snap out of it, but you couldn't bring yourself to. You and Ibuki Guy had been friends for years. There's no way he could be racist. He hated racism. But after all, famous people said all the time they hate racism just to be racist themselves. As the bell rang again, you quickly picked up your belongings, not bothering to wait for Anonymous Confession like usual. You instead slung your backpack over your shoulder and quickly bolted out the room once again, not looking back once.
