It all started with the suggestion box.
That stupid attempt at compromise.

"GOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING MY BUZZING BUMBLEBEES, ARE YOU PREPARED FOR TODAY'S ADVENTURE??"
Everyone at the breakfast table either audibly (Jax and Zooble) or inaudibly (everyone else) groaned.
"Can't we have one- ONE day where something absolutely exhausting DOESN'T happen?!!" Zooble looked ready to throw hands.
But unfortunately, their voice would fall on nonexistent ears
"NOPE - SORRY ZOOBLE, BUT IT'S MY JOB TO KEEP YOU ALL ENTERTAINED- AND IF I LET YOU HAVE THIS SO PROCLAIMED 'REST DAY' I WOULD'NT BE DOING MY JOB NOW WOULD I??"
Jax rolled his eyes toward Pomni, a smirk playing on his mouth as he gave her an expression that roughly translated to "can you believe these idiots?"
Pomni looked at Jax with an unreadable expression...
And went right back to eating her digital hash brown.
Ouch.
During this interaction- Zooble and Caine were still talking at a concerning volume, and soon Ragatha came in to mediate.
"What about the suggestion box again? We enjoyed it last time, and it would give you more time to plan future adventures" the ragdoll offered up to the pair of dentures.
"HHHMMMM" Caine stroked his chin(?)
"LET ME HAVE A WORD WITH MY ASSOCIATE - BUBBLE!!!" Caine called.
"Yes boss~"
The two floated in the air, backs turned to the group. They were talking in hushed whispers.
Finally, Caine turned back to the animated individuals.
"I HAVE DECIDED TO MAKE A COMPROMISE- TODAYS ADVENTURE WILL BE FROM THE SUGGESTION BOX. ISN'T THAT JUST A GRAND IDEA??"
A few of the characters glanced toward Ragatha, who quickly smothered her true feelings with a bright smile
"That's a great idea Caine!"

After the crew of colorful characters journeyed the harrowing distance of about 20 steps to the suggestion box, everything was ready.
Caine pulled a piece of paper out of the box
(Two suggestions that are frankly ridiculous and are shot down by the majority of the cast. Until...)
"OKAY -LAST SUGGESTION. IF YOU GUYS DON'T LIKE THIS ONE, YOU'RE DOING ONE OF MY ADVENTURES"
He whipped out the last piece of paper with a flourish, unfolded it, and read the idea allowed.
"WHAT ABOUT AN ADVENTURE WHERE WE ALL ATTEND A ROYAL BALL - WITH OUTFITS, DANCING AND FOOD?"
Jax immediately looked like he stepped on something that shall not be named.
"Ew. Pass."
"Jax! This is our last chance to do something pleasant for once! Can't you be a little agreeable?" Ragatha was clearly at her wits end.
"That actually sounds... kind of nice." Gangle hesitated.
"Oh no... It appears that I have become sentient once again. everyone TAKE COVER!!" Kinger shouted before diving into his pillow fort.
