Chapter 1:
(Heyo!!! I'm Doze! I'm making ANOTHER Sonic series involving a dad and a robot, cuz I guess I do that trope a ton. For that I'm sorry, because I don't wanna stick to a trope. But I'm keeping this one since this has some potential, I think. I remember running into a fanfic where Dr. Starline had an extra member to Surge's team and she helped Surge and Kit not take their vengeance out on Sonic, and that became one of the inspirations for this fic. Anyways, we'll get into this! Enjoy the chapter!)
Dr. Starline typed into his computer and was about to enter one of his daily video diaries.
"Day 10 of Project Remaster, while the hypnotic sessions with Surge and Kitsunami are going well, I realized in my last session from an interaction with Kitsunami..." the platypus went on, as he sighed in disappointment.
"...Following my last session with him, when I asked him what he knows about himself to test if his loyalty to Surge was second nature now, he began having a mental breakdown..."
He looked at the audio footage of Kitsunami having a breakdown, trying to break out of his chair before Dr. Starline had to sedate him with the Hypnoglove and put him to sleep.
"As such, this will become a cumbersome task if I am unable to get them into a state of compliance. I do not have the time nor resources to bring in another test subject, so I will need to make the extra asset myself. I'll be making Surge and Kitsunami a "parent", as it were." Starline explained, in his video log.
"This unit will be keeping them emotionally stable and act as a de-escalator. Someone willing to protect them and love them genuinely, which will make them easier to control and motivate them."
Starline then looked at the schematics of his newest creation. He wanted something non-threatening and huggable, making it easier to confide for Surge and Kitsunami.
He called him "Mythril." The schematics for this were simple rotund black furred bear. His teal eyes covered by black tinted sunglasses.
He designed a white suit with a red necktie for him, to give him a personal secretary look to him.
Just because he is supposed to be for Surge and Kitsunami doesn't mean he won't need him for personal data.
Mythril would believe he truly is alive, that he is Surge and Kit's father, and he's worked for Dr. Starline after his fallout with Dr. Eggman.
And as such would be keeping track of data, getting his tools and snacks and other things.
Dr. Starline would program the memories and personality from what he gathered from Belle's data and sentience.
Surge and Kitsunami were biological beings with cybernetic implants. Mythril would be like Belle.
A sentient Badnik.
(A Few Days Later)
Dr. Starline was monitoring another test as Mythril acted as his personal assistant. "Your coffee, Doctor." He said, with a warm smile. "Thank you very much." Starline said in response.
"Hahahaha! Not bad...at being below average!" Surge said, as she soared out of the chamber.
"Dad! Check it out! I aced it no problem!" Surge said, excitedly.
