"y/n, hurry up, or we won't make it to class," Kate yells as she bangs on my door.

"Give me like five minutes, I'm finishing my makeup," I yell back. I hear a loud groan that I know belongs to Peter. We were lucky enough to get an apartment together that we can all afford.

Once I finished getting ready, I stepped out of my room to see Peter sprawled across our kitchen island and Kate sitting beside him on her phone. "I'm ready." I blurt out, they look up, and get up, already heading for the door before I can grab my bag.

"Do either of you have a MacBook charger? I don't know if my laptop is charged," Peter says as he's rifling through his bag. "Check mine, I might have brought it," I say as I try to keep my eyes on the road and not pay too much mind to him digging in my bag. I know I don't have anything in there that I shouldn't have, but I'm still wary of people going through my stuff.

"Yelena said she's going to meet us by the English building, so park over there," Kate says. Her eyes have been glued to her phone since she and Yelena started dating. I try not to say anything about it because I haven't dated anyone yet, so I don't know how I would act in a relationship.

"Why are we meeting with her?" Peter asks. "She bought us coffee." Kate says. Me and Peter quickly perk up at the mention of coffee. "All of us?" I ask. Kate nods before going back to texting Yelena.

"Okay, she's on our good side today," Peter laughs. "Oh come on guys, you like Yelena, don't you?" Kate finally puts her phone down after this question. "We do Kate, we're just teasing you." I explained. She nods before looking out the window. "Her and I are going to dinner with her sister and Wanda tonight, you two should join." Kate says.

"Right, me, Natasha, and Wanda. Sounds like the perfect night." I grumble out. "It won't be bad. We're going to dinner and then clubbing. Peter you can bring MJ and Ned too." Kate says. "What about me? Where are my friends?" I roll my eyes.

"You can bring friends, if you have any." Kate says, she gives me a small apologetic look. "Sorry I really like you guys and haven't seen a need to meet anyone new." I roll my eyes dramatically before parking more aggressively than I intended. "Relax with the car." Peter groans. I glance back and see that his head was against the chair in front of him, meaning he slammed his head. "Sorry," I mumble out.

The three of us headed towards campus to the undisclosed location Yelena was waiting for us at. I was following them mindlessly until I heard an obnoxious voice. I know it's not just Yelena.

I take a small peek up, confirming that it was Natasha with Yelena. "I'm going to see you two later." I let out quickly before speed walking away from them.

I heard small comments from them but I was gone before either of them could properly stop me. I don't feel like dealing with Natasha so much today.

Natasha Romanoff, hot as she is, she's a total bitch. She's an annoying know it all who busts her ass in sports, making me bust my ass. Somehow, despite being on the same side, on the same team, Natasha is my biggest competitor.

Other than us competing in sports, she seems fine. But I don't know if I can let down my guard. She has a tendency to harass me about my stats in sports even outside of them. I really don't think I can handle that.

My class is only a building away, I'm still speed walking. I guess at this point I'm just trying to avoid Wanda too.

Wanda, much like Natasha is one of my biggest competitors. Wanda and I have the same major and we're always alternating as the top two students in our classes. Wanda Maximoff is beautiful, it makes it difficult when we're going head to head in things like debates, I can never keep my thoughts straight.

"Hey stranger." I hear as I felt a small poke on my side. Glancing over I see MJ, keeping up with my speed. "Why are we in a hurry today?" She asks, her tone is so unserious.

"Just trying to get to class." I roll my eyes and slow my pace, she follows suit. "Trying to get there before Wanda?" She asks.

"More, avoiding Natasha." I explained. MJ hums in response as we quietly walked. "So, are you going tonight? Peter already told me about the invite." MJ asks.

"I really don't want to. But I don't know if I can get out of it. I doubt that Peter or Kate will let me stay home alone while you're all out." MJ nods. "It might be fun. It could also be a good opportunity for you to get to know Natasha and Wanda outside of your stubborn competitiveness."

"I've never interacted with Wanda outside of class or clubs. But if she's anything like Natasha, which they're friends so she probably is, I don't think I could handle that."

"Wanda isn't like that. She's actually so sweet, I think you'll get along with her." MJ explains. I'm about to respond but then we spot Wanda already in the class, sitting front and center.

"I'll see." Is all I let out. I really don't want to interact with either of them, but I really don't see any other options for me. If anything I can stay off to the side with Ned. I assume that Kate and Yelena will be off together while Wanda and Natasha are off together and MJ and Peter. "Is Ned going?" I ask. MJ shakes her head no. "He has something with his grandma tonight, something about family game night."

Well, there goes my plan about hanging with Ned. Maybe I'll actually meet someone new. Maybe I can even get a date out of tonight since my group will be in pairs, excluding me. I have to try to make the best of the night.

"You don't have to go with everyone if you don't want to. I don't think anyone will fault you for it."

"Are you two talking about tonight? Yelena was telling me that you both should be coming with all of us." I turn and see that Wanda has moved her seat close to us; she's sitting beside me now. "We are talking about tonight," I say. Wanda nods. "You should go, y/n; it'll be fun. We're just going to eat, then hang out and drink."

"I'm going to see. I have to make sure I'm caught up on homework first." I explained. MJ rolls her eyes; she knows I'm lying. I don't know what to say to Wanda. "That's too bad. I'm surprised you're not all caught up on homework already. I didn't peg you as someone who lets themselves get behind like that." And there is her usual snark, making me feel bad about how I handle my academics.

"Extra studying, I need to make sure I'm ready for anything," I mutter. MJ gives me a small look, probably trying to tell me to calm down. It's really not my fault that Wanda irritates me like this. She says things in such a sweet tone, but what she says is so condescending. She's just trying to show me how much better than me she is. She's not.

Class ended up starting, so I wasn't able to do anything else about Wanda's comments. Not anything so obvious, at least. I was trying to make sure I participated in the whole class more than she did.

When MJ and I were walking out of the class, someone tapped on my shoulder. "Do you think anyone will mind if I bring my brother?" Wanda asked MJ and me. I glanced at MJ. I doubt anyone would care, but maybe if I say no, she and her brother won't show up.

"That should be fine. Kate literally invited way more people than were supposed to go in the first place." MJ explained. Wanda nods and then says a small "Okay, thanks, bye." Before rushing away.

"I really don't understand what your problem with her is. She's so nice to you." MJ says. "She's not. You don't know her evil meaning behind everything she says." MJ rolls her eyes.
