Skeletons in the Closet

A group of Fourth Year Gryffindors threw a party in the common room to celebrate Harry's primeval victory. Evading a nesting mother dragon and retrieving the guarded golden egg isn't an easy task after all so they made sure to make tonight unforgettable. The Weasley twins brought Fire Whiskey and everyone was getting loose. When the bottle of alcohol drained it was used for a more interesting version of spin the bottle. In other words you don't just get to kiss the person you spin but you also get a solid seven minutes alone in a closet with them. Several people had spun and then it was Alice Akerman's turn. The bottle spun right between Neville Longbottom and George Weasley. Before Alice could get the chance to protest or re-spin, Fred Weasley reached over and twisted the bottle away from the brunette slightly and onto the redhead.

"Ooh la-la, what a lucky bloke. Looks like it's your go, Georgie!"

George blushed slightly, and jabbed Fred's rib. Alice had fancied George for ages which is something Fred was aware of since she was good mates with them, though she wasn't certain how George felt about her. She had seen him eyeing up Angelina Johnson quite a bit after all. Within a blink of an eye, Alice and George were being shoved into the dark closet by Fred.

"Enjoy it while you can and try to keep some clothes on by the end of the seven minutes!"

Fred winked and closed the two of them into the tight room. As her eyes adjusted to the dark, she could see his eyes avoiding hers.

Well this took quite a dark turn.

Alice mirrored George's actions. Everyone at Hogwarts knew she had a massive crush on George—except for him. And what really hurt Alice most was the fact that George told Fred that he only saw her as a 'sister'. Oof, sister-zoning. Honestly, it's both a blessing and a curse for someone to be this oblivious ever since First Year. The closet was small and cramped, making it impossible to avoid any physical contact. George felt her arm brush against his as he leaned back against the wall, trying to put as much distance between them as possible. He cleared his throat nervously.

"So... seven minutes, huh?"

"Yep."

Alice trailed off noticing the small gesture. Why was George scooting away from her as if he was disgusted by her? Did her pits reek? Did her hair look wild? Did her breath stink? The thought of George thinking of Alice as a unhygienic weird girl only adds more salt to the wound. She crossed her fingers in hopes that he didn't perceive her in that way. Her heart pounded in her ears as anxiety consumed her.

Merlin's beard!

Fred must've snitched on her, that's why George had 'disgust' written all over his face, Alice thought.
