Calamity
Before joining The Seven, Kite was the leader of a lesser-known Supe group called Calamity.
Unlike most Vought-sponsored teams, Calamity focused primarily on:
They were respected by the people they saved, but they were never very famous because they lacked flashy branding and controversy that Vought usually preferred.
The team became especially known for operating during hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, and terrorist attacks where civilian survival mattered more than publicity.
Kite was the youngest leader Vought had ever assigned to a rescue-oriented Supe team.

Appearance
Kite has an effortlessly striking appearance that made him extremely marketable for Vought almost immediately after joining The Seven and people at times just call him 'pretty boy' and such due to it. He has medium-length black hair that constantly shifts with the wind around him, sharp brown eyes, and a lean but athletic build from years of sword training.
His suit combines modern tactical clothes with Japanese-inspired layered fabric and a sleeveless mantle that flows dramatically whenever he uses his powers.
Unlike many Supes, his appearance feels natural rather than artificially perfected. Vought attempted to refine his image several times, but audiences preferred how human he looked compared to the polished artificiality of other heroes.
He almost always carries a katana along with a Tanto, even while off-duty.

Personality
Kite is one of the rare genuinely kind people inside Vought.
He's approachable, lively, and naturally social. He enjoys listening to others and often spends more time interacting with civilians than celebrities or executives. Unlike many Supes, he genuinely enjoys helping people and sees heroism as a responsibility instead of a performance.
