Before Lucy and Lucas were born, their parents were siblings. This is why Lucy is deaf and Lucas is psychopathic. They themselves were adopted by wolves after the wolves murdered the entire farm and took all the children for livestock. When Lucas (who never followed the rules) found this out he ran away with Lucy, keeping them both alive for much longer, Lucy didn't understand what was happening entirely but trusted her brother. On their journey they came across the old farm the were born on and explored it, and not to be surprised there were a ton of bones, this is were Lucas found his knife, and Lucy found her familiar a Small bunny
