My eyes open hardly ever. For a long minute all I can see is a blinding light...Then, noises reach my ears.

"Young man, wake up! Wake up, the train came to it's terminus you have to get off!"

"Huh...the train...?" I mumble through a sleepy and hoarse voice. Right. The train to Connecticut! I sit up straight in a quick motion, causing the conductor to jump slightly. "Are we in New Haven??"

The old man nod his head hesitantly and take a step back quickly as I stand up on my feet. I pick up my backpack and throw it on my shoulder carelessly then turn to the man. "Thanks for waking me up Mister, have a nice day!"

He sputter something that sound like a polite goodbye but I do not have the time to listen. I jump of the train and run my way throught the uge station hall. I need to pee and buy a drink...
No.
The quicker the better, I can do all that once I get there!

Soon, I reach the parking lot, pushing my way throught the huge doors. Ahh, New Haven. Chic even until the train station...It really is nothing like Hawkins.

I hope living there didn't change him too much...He might have forgotten me by now...

I shake my head quickly to chase these negative thoughts and take a deep breath.

Come on Mike. You can do it!

(Will's POV)

"Bye everyone, see you guys later!" I wave one last goodbye at my friends before definitly turning around and walking away. Geez, I gotta stop drinking like that...

I bring a hand up to the side of my head, holding it there as if it could make the pain go away as I tuck a cigarrette between my lips with the second one.

The street is empty, it's weird...The area is quite popular. Usually there is always a few people roamming around whether it'd be people hanging out together or...some sex workers waiting on the side road...I feel like something bad is going to happen...

On this thought, I speed up a little bit. Calm down, Will. You're just being paranoid because of all the boozes you drank...I light up my cigarette and exhale slowly, casting a cloud of steam in the cold night air.

The moon is high. It's probably late already...I hope I don't have any exams tomorrow...

*Ring Ring Ring*

The loud ringtone of my brick phone* echoe in the empty street. I pull my bag off my shoulder and search for it as fast as I can but it take me about a minute. Enough for the call to end. Finally I put my hand on the big device and pull it out of my backpack. I check the number and...

"Mrs. Wheeler...?" What does she want with me...?

I sigh and stay there, starring at the big phone in my hands for a few seconds before dializing the Wheeler's house number.

"Hello, Will?" She sound panicked. It has been a while since I last talked to her but she still sound the exact same...

"Yes, this is Will...You huh...You called me, is everything okay?"

"Oh lord...No, no it's not okay. Is Mike perhaps with you?"

Mike...? Why would Mike be there with me...?

"I know you two haven't talked a lot lately but..." She continues "I went to his room and he wasn't there anymore. I checked the basement and everywhere around the house, I called everyone but no signs of him, some of his stuff even disappeared...!"

Woah, that sounds serious...Did Mike run away from home? I take another drag of my cigarrette and exhale the smoke through my nose.

I'm finally at the dorms...

"Oh, huh...I'm sorry but he-" I trail off and stop dead. This can't be true...

"Will...? Dear are you still with me?" Karen Wheeler's voice buzz through the phone speaker but the sound of it doesn't quite reach my ear...Here he is. Sitting in the grass, back against the cold bricks, alone...

"Hum...actually...I just found him." I speak mindlessly. Mrs. Wheeler let out a relieved noise and I can hear her call for her husband.

"Is he alright? Please talk to him, I know it's been long but he-"

"I will..." I interrupt her gently. "I'll try to resonate him, don't worry Mrs. Wheeler...I will call you again tomorrow to give you some news..." I don't give her much time to answer and end the call. My arm drop by my side as I grip the heavy phone thightly.

It takes me a second to gather enough courrage to walk up to him...But I eventually do. He is asleep, hugging his worn out backpack like some stuffed animal.

I throw my cigarette down on the ground and crouch down beside him, stepping on the cigarette butt. His face hasn't changed much since the last time I saw him...His hair grew up quite a lot though...Just like they were in California...

I swallow thickly and reach out hesitantly to put my hand on his shoulder. The mere feeling of his touch send a jolt of electricity through my whole body...I forgot this old sensation...This used to be my daily life basis, the only reason I'd wake up everyday for a very long time...

"Mike..." I whisper. His name in my mouth sound odd now..."Mike, wake up...Mike..!"

"Ugh-! What...what?" He grumble as he shift on the ground. His head snap up and he look at me with raised brows and half lidded eyes..."Will...? I finally found you...."
