Victoria's point of view

I got home and quietly closed the door behind me. I think everybody else is asleep. I was breathing hard from that kiss. The kiss with Leo was perfect. He didn't go too fast, unlike Rick when I woke up. I definitely felt like Leo was my soul mate. I should probably try to find mother and tell her. But I don't want to yet. I heard the stairs creak as Rick walked down the stairs.

"Hey Rick." I said. Cautious because I think he might still be upset.
"Hey Victoria. Quite the kiss outside." He said snobbishly. I blushed.
"...yeah, I really like Leo. I know I just met him, but I feel like we're destined to be together." I said. Wait...he was watching me and Leo? A shiver went down my spine. He rolled his eyes.
"Please, that jerk can't offer you half of the things I can. He can barely even kiss you any way." He remarked. I was surprised, he was jealous. Rick actually liked me. It was against the rule book for me to marry a Griffin though. And I didn't like Rick like that. I wish I had my strength back, so I could punch him hardly, but I was still weak from being asleep for so long

"Rick, it's against the rules for me to date you though. You know that." I said.
"So? It's okay to break rules sometimes." He said.
"Rick, I..I just can't do that. I like you, but not in that way." I said.
"Fine, be that way. Just like the spoiled rich little girl you are. If you don't like me then leave." Once again, his speech surprised me.
"Rick, please let me stay. I like you, as a friend. I can't like you as more than a friend." I replied. He looked irritated.
"Then stay with me at my place." He said.
"What?" I said.
"You heard me, It'll be easier, for you, for my parents." He said.
"Yeah, your right." And plus I didn't want to argue further with him, if he were to kick me out, I would have to buy my own apartment, but I will have to get my own place soon. If the castle is still standing, I could live there. But for now, I want to look normal. I packed my few belongings in a bag, and Rick drove me in his motorised carriage to his apartment.

"Sorry Victoria about how I was acting earlier. I just don't like that Leo guy. I'd rather you be with me than him. He seems odd." He said.

"It's fine, Rick. But Leo's a nice guy, you can trust him." I explained. He parked his motorised carriage in the parking lot of his apartment complex. We sat still for a minute.
"But Victoria, I really do like you." He started to lean in for a kiss but he opened his eyes when he realized I wasn't going to kiss him out of my own free will. His eyebrows furrowed.

"I don't understand! How can that Leo guy win you over!" He slammed his fists on the steering wheel. I put my hand on his fist.

"Rick, calm down. Let's go inside. Sound good?" I said in a soothing voice. He nodded and I grabbed my bag of stuff and followed him to his apartment. I followed closely behind Rick and we arrived at his apartment.

It was nicely decorated and had a separate bedroom. "This is a nice apartment, Rick." I said.
"Thanks." Replied Rick.
"I'm pretty tired, I'm going to go put on some sleeping garments then go to bed."I told him. I picked up my bag then went into the bathroom. I still couldn't believe the miraculous invention of the new toilet. It looked so compact.
It felt fantastic to finally take of that mini courset of a bra. I slipped on a light sleeping gown that was about mid thigh length and was a light blue color. It was the night gown that I got for my ceremony. I put my other clothes back in my bag and walked back into the living room. Rick was sitting on the couch facing away from me, watching tv.

I was shocked at his appearance. He wasn't wearing a shirt. I have rarely ever seen a man shirtless. I only saw my father shirtless once because the sleeve on his shirt caught on fire and he ripped it off. I laughed at the memory.

"What are you laughin-" Rick stopped talking when he saw what I was dressed in. And plus his mouth was hanging open.

"Rick, your jaw is hitting the ground, I think I just saw a fly enter your mouth." I told him. He closed his mouth but he was still looking at me.
"Hello? Rick, my eyes are on my facial region, not my chest." I said, but louder this time. That got his attention.
"Oh....um...chest...distracting...pretty...." He smiled a crooked smile.
"Men these days, so uncivilized." I said.
"Oh, if you think I'm uncivilized, then you shouldn't meet my friends who are coming over tonight." He told me. I barely knew any humans, I'd like to meet Rick's friends. I think I can somewhat defend myself. Im slowly gaining my strength.

"I'd like to meet your friends, Rick. I don't know many humans, I want to get used to being surronded by them."
"Are you sure, Victoria?" Rick asked.
"Absolutely."
"Alright, but I suggest you change into not as suggestive clothes." He smiled and I said okay.
I went back into the bathroom and picked out some yoga pants and a purple t shirt. I walked out of the bathroom and something didn't feel right.
"Really Victoria? Are you trying to tease me?" Rick said sounding annoyed. I forgot I wasn't wearing a bra, I got changed and Rick approved. He moved over on the couch and patted a spot on one side of the couch. I sat down next to him. Just then there was a knock on the door.

"There here, Victoria. Brace yourself. They can be a bit obnoxious." Rick said.
"Alright, go open the door, don't leave them out there." I told him. He walked to the end of the room and opened the door. I stood up and walked foward.
Three guys walked into the room. One had long dark brown hair put into a bun on top of his head. One had a short blond buzzcut. And one had black hair with bangs that were covering his forehead. He was the quiet one. The buzzcut noticed me first.
"Who is this lovely lady, may I ask?" Rick walked over to me.
"This is Victoria, Victoria this is Shaun, Mikey, and Chase. " Mikey is the long hair one. Chad has the buzzcut and Shaun has the flippy hair.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mikey, Shane, and Chad." I crossed my ankles and curtsied. My hearing is fantastic so I heard what the three boys said to eachother. Discluding Mikey, maybe he already has a girlfriend.

"Dibs."
"Dibs."
"Dibs."
Dibs was around long enough, I knew what it meant. "Really? Calling dibs on a girl?" I said.
Shaun, Mikey and Chase all looked at me. Mikey and Chad smiled a crooked smile. Shaun looked serious. It was quiet until Mikey raised his hand holding a case of bottles.
"I brought beer!" Mikey shouted.
"And were all twentyone, so bonus!" Mikey shouted.
"You're twenty one, Rick?" I asked Rick.
"Yeah, Im twentyone. Mikey, Chad and Shaun are all twentyone also. Twentyone is the age Americans have to be to drink." Explained Rick.
"Oh, Im around 144 years though, but for now I'll just be eighteen."
"Rick, is it okay if I sleep in your bedroom? Its loud out here."
I asked Rick.
"Yeah, that's fine." I thanked him and started walking towards the bedroom when a hand grabbed my shoulder, it was Shaun.
"Hello, Shaun." I said to him.
"Hey Victoria." Said Shaun, he smiled. I think I could trust him, he seemed welcoming enough.
"Want to go talk outside?" He asked. Rick had a small balcony connected to his apartment. It had a couple chairs and a table. It seemed weird of him to ask me, but I assumed he just wanted to get some fresh air.
"Sure, that sounds good."
I followed him to the balcony doors and he held them open for me. I said thanks and he closed the door behind him.
"So...you live with Rick?" Asked Shaun.
"Yeah, I guess." I responded.
"Are you dating him?"
"No, he's just a friend of mine but I know that he would like to be more than that." Shaun laughed but he had a serious look on his face.
I waked to the railing of the balcony and admired the view. "The view is beautiful." I told him.
"Yes, but not as beautiful as you." I felt myself blush wildly.
"Thanks, Shaun." I said. I heard his footsteps as he neared me. Now he stood next to me. I turned to look at him and that's when I noticed his eyes turned a light shade of red.

Only vampires eyes do that. Their eyes are naturally blue, but they'll turn red when they are going to do somthing dangerous.
