At Thurgood Marshall Elementary School Damian is known as a rebellious and troublemaker, like he doesn't care about anything, with many friends and a girl that seems like she likes him back. It sounds like there's nothing wrong with that, but in reality he does care more than anyone else about anything. His friends are just fake friends. Always with him when it's fun, but when it goes wrong, they're nowhere. And the girl? Her name is Nina and Damian has a crush on her. But Nina is just a manipulator with sweet words and smiles. And anytime she's with Damian, it ends with something she needs. Damian is just something like a puppet to her.

At school every problem is on him. Whenever something happens, automatically it's Damian. That makes other students do more trouble than normally it would. No one cares how he feels, how it's effecting him and his family's situation. The teachers were treating him like hes nothing more than a problem for their class.

And at home it's not better for him. He's the youngest of his family, which means living in the shadows of all his siblings. The oldest, Nicki, his brother, never saw him as something more than a problem, the twins Richard and Roy always making jokes about him, but they're saying it's just fun, the middle, Jay, always saying he should be more mature, even Damian is just 8 years old. Then his only sister, Rose, always makes fun of him being in a relationship with Nina one day. And the parents? Their mom almost never is home because she has two jobs and their father left them for a job, she told them, but few of them refused to believe it. Damain never knew his father, but he never mind it. Or at least, he never let it know outside, but inside he wish he could know him.

But in reality, he was a softie and kind and royal. He just wants attention he never had. And also most of the time he's just trying to help.
