My favorite kind of Wangxian fic is back to the past so I decided to start writing my own when I came to a lack of new ones to read. I'm going to try focus on more realistic reactions instead of wwx just immediately wanting to fix everything like I often see. I have never liked how quickly he got over the past and found the lack of long lasting trauma unrealistic and strange. This fic will not be solely based on wwx's trauma recovery and will have more plot points.
I will increase each chapter by around 500 words until I find it long enough for it to be something I personally would find satisfactory.
Would love any feedback on my writing!

Wei wuxian had been fighting for hours. he had killed countless cultivators at this point and for every one of them that fell he felt a bit of himself fall with them. He never wanted this to happen, he never wanted to resort to his ways, he never wanted the world to turn against him, but that's what he was given. He had been thinking this over and over in his head ever since he entered the burial mounds with the wens.
Before he could dwell in his thoughts longer than he had been, a sword pierced his shoulder. Jiang Cheng stared at Wei wuxian with all of the malice he could gather before yanking his sword out and going in for another stab. He didn't make it far with his efforts before a wave of resentment knocked him, and nearby cultivators away. Several cultivators fainted and were killed by the corpses of their comrades, while the closer cultivators with weaker spiritual power died to the resentment before they even hit the ground.
'Please..' Wei wuxian thought as the yin tiger tally began to rise whilst floating between his hands.
He knew he could win, but he also knew there would be no point. The wens were dead. To win he would need to kill everyone, to win he needed to stoop lower than they had. He never wanted anyone to die in the first place.
'Just let me die...' he thought again as the yin tiger tally began to crack.
"Wei wuxian!" Jian Cheng yelled between his teeth, jaw clenched with rage.
Nie Mingjue braced himself, not knowing what was coming next, the other sect leaders noticed this change and immediately copied him.
'The world is best without me, maybe it always has been.." Wei wuxian thought again as the yin tiger tally's cracks grew.
Wei wuxian looked up into the clouds then to the bloodied battlefield. Before the yin tiger tally shattered, he gave one last order to the living corpses he had disturbed.
Wei wuxian looked back to the clouds, hands gently rising to his chest in one last longing motion before it then again dropped to the battlefield along with his arms that slackened by his side as yin tiger tally shattered with a burst or resentment and the corpses began running toward him.
The corpses all lunged and began gnawing, ripping, pulling, and scratching at his skin, bones, and flesh. He felt all of it.
The cracking of bones and ripping of muscles filled the air as everyone watched in horror as the Yiling patriarch was ripped and eaten alive. Many began to vomit as the scene intensified.
Wei wuxian wanted to scream, he wanted to try and fight back, but he couldn't. He accepted his fate and closed his eyes as his tears ran down his cheeks, mixing with the blood that had been sitting upon them, giving him a desperate, ghostly air as bloodied tears made they're way to his chin.
'The world can rest now." Was his final thought before the world went dark and he was cast into oblivion.

Don't want to rush anything or shorten the fanfic so I can just get done with it. I hope you enjoy the next chapters if you decide to read them!
