Forced Proximity: chapter 1

Jax and Pomni sat on the chairs on opposite sides of the lounging room, refusing to talk, only exchanging occasional glances and glares.

Caine appeared. "Hello, my amazing digital daisies! Did someone mention adventure?!" The set of teeth popped his eyes and tongue out.

all the cast, apart from Ragatha and Gangle, who looked confused, gave him an exasperated look.

Ragatha and Pomni, in unison, like their brains were merged, gave a little "noooo?"

Jax shot Pomni a sharp look, like a tied knot of anger, sadness, and something she couldn't pick apart. She noticed and ignored the rabbit.

Caine sensed the tension between them. "Oh dear, it seems two of our circus members have been arguing," he said, with almost questioning curiosity in his tone, looking around at them all.

Eventually, Zooble spoke up. "They've been like this since their fight yesterday. No one knows what happened."

"Uh oh! Well, in that case, today will be a Jax and Pomni exclusive adventure!" Caine replied with enthusiasm.

"Great, more reasons for the fans to ship us," Jax said in an annoyed, impatient, yet aloof voice.

"Ship us... to WHERE?!" Pomni exclaimed, confused.

While Ragatha and Gangle explained "ships" to her - which left her with a lot of mixed emotions - Caine began to describe his newest adventure idea.

"Jax and Pomni will be stuffed into this box until they get rid of their grudges," he explained proudly.

"...what?!"

"The hell?"

"Yessss!"

Everyone was confused, mad, or excited.

The part that Caine had forgotten to mention? Everyone could see into the box, but they couldn't see out...

(Sorry for the cliffhanger lol, I wrote this in maths on paper and got a bit lazy but I'll write a new one asap!! Might be a bit late tho, it's my birthday on Monday 🤧)
