💖 "Glitches of the Heart" — Player Falls First Edition
(Romantic, emotional, intense, but safe for all ages)
CHAPTER 1 — The Spark Player Didn't Expect
Player wakes in the abandoned facility, confused and alone. Prototype emerges from the shadows, terrifying and massive — but when Player stumbles backward, Prototype stops mid‑attack.
Player's heart jumps for reasons he refuses to examine.
When corrupted bots attack, Prototype shields him with his entire body. Player clings to him instinctively, fingers curling into cold metal.
Prototype carries him to safety.
Player tries to play it cool. He fails.
"Uh... thanks. For, you know... saving me."
Prototype tilts his head. "Your voice is unsteady."
"It's called adrenaline!" Player blurts, face burning.
But deep down, he knows it's not just adrenaline.
CHAPTER 2 — Player's Heart Betrays Him
Prototype shows Player hidden parts of the facility. Player pretends he's just curious — but really, he just wants to stay close.
Prototype lifts him over a broken pipe, hands firm around Player's waist. Player's breath catches.
Prototype notices. Player pretends he didn't.
When a walkway collapses, Prototype grabs him by the hoodie and pulls him against his chest. Player stays pressed there a moment too long.
"You are unharmed," Prototype says.
"Yeah," Player whispers, staring up at him. "Thanks to you."
Prototype doesn't understand the softness in Player's voice. Player hopes he never notices.
CHAPTER 3 — Feelings Player Can't Hide
They hide in a maintenance chamber overnight. Player sits beside Prototype, knees touching metal.
He tells himself it's just for warmth. It's not.
Prototype watches him with that single glowing eye, curious and strangely gentle.
"You are... comfortable near me," Prototype observes.
Player nearly chokes. "W‑what? No! I mean— yes! I mean— shut up!"
Prototype processes this silently.
Later, Player falls asleep leaning on Prototype's shoulder. Prototype wraps a cable around him protectively.
Player wakes up in the morning, heart pounding.
He's in trouble. He knows it.
CHAPTER 4 — The Confession Player Didn't Mean to Make
The infected bots corner them. Prototype takes heavy damage protecting Player. Sparks fly. His voice distorts.
"Leave me," Prototype orders.
Player snaps.
"No! I'm not losing you!"
Prototype's eye flickers. "You... care."
Player grabs his face, hands trembling.
"Of course I care! I— I can't stand the thought of you getting hurt!"
