You and your girlfriend are baking a cake together!

Cherry is an experienced baker, you... well.. aren't the best at it.

female for any gender

Cherry rolled over in bed as you sat up and stretched, reaching your arms up as if you were reaching out for something.

Her phone alarm went off under her pillow, making you jolt up.  You nudge her awake gently.

"Hey, babe? It's time to get up, cutie."

She shifted positions again and clung her arms to your waist and whined. You rolled your eyes with a slight smile and peeled her off of you, placing her in your arms.

"It's a lazy sunday, you don't have to go to work today, Cherry. Get up!"

She sat up and tucked her red hair behind her ear and reached for her glasses.

"I had this really good cake idea," She said in a tired voice, stretching.

"I might work an extra shift. This one will really sell."

You flopped back down on your pillow dramatically.

"But babe..." you said in a pleading voice, half joking.

"You love sunday. We always smoke on the patio,  listen to corny ballads, and drink over-sweetened coffee." You paused. "Well i mean, i don't like coffee. I drink tea. I'm just that kind of person."

She rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Fine, but only because you're hot."

She pulled herself on top of you and started to kiss you, when her phone started to ring again.

"That phone.." She got up and reached for it, somewhat frustrated.

She silenced it and scooched to the edge of the bed, placing her feet on the ground, followed by a shiver. "It's cold.."

She suddenly sighed.

"I really liked that cake idea . . ."

She hesitantly paused, thinking over her decision twice.

". . .We should bake together!"

You raised an eyebrow, painfully aware that you're a horrible baker.

"Me? I mean, I once blew up my cousin's easy-bake oven trying to make icing. You really don't want me as a baker. You don't even want me to watch . . ."

You took a breath, trying to contain your laughter as non-chalantly as possible.

". . .I'll probably just piss off the oven. Then our house will go kaboom."

She laughed and tugged you out of bed.

"Come on!! Before I forget."

A few minutes later, you were in the kitchen beside a bubbly red-head.

"Okay, my love. Can you pre-heat the oven?" she said enthusiastically.

You sighed. "You're actually trusting me with an oven?"

She rolled her eyes with a grin. "Just do it. Cake and coffee is a good combo."

"I don't like coffee!" you said laughing, leaning back on the marble counter.

It sent chills up your spine, it was much colder than the warm bed you had just been forced out of.

She jokingly shoved you backwards. "You're so boring!"

You grabbed her hand. "But you still love me."

She narrowed her eyes and tried to keep a straight face.

She eventually smiled and rolled her eyes. "Maybe i do."
