Max and Lucas were running as fast as they could. The pumpkin-like creatures were chasing them. Where could they hide? They were everywhere! "Over there!" Lucas yelled, pulling Max along. The pumpkins came closer and all their jokes from before had quickly gone away and quickly changed to fear. When Max got closer to the barn, she realized Lucas was behind. A vine had wrapped around his leg and he couldn't escape. "Help! Max!". Max needed a moment to realize what was going on but then she quickly grabbed a stick laying on the ground, ran towards the monster and broke it in two, freeing Lucas. He quickly scrambled to his feet when one of the pumpkin monsters caught Max. She immediately started kicking as hard as she could. Gripping its head and throwing it away causing it to fall over. She stood up and laughed "Ha! Not so strong now, are you?" She said in a competitive tone and then she ran towards the barn where Lucas was heading to as well. They ran inside and closed the barn doors at the exact same moment. Out of breath they sat there against the door, waiting for... something.. To happen. They were both sweating even though it was freezing like crazy. One of the vines from the pumpkins made its way through the door and Max immediately smashed it so it wouldn't get to them. The gap wasn't big enough for a creature to come through. Only the vines. Max sat down with a shutter and looked at Lucas: "You okay?" she asked hesitantly. "Never been better" He joked back. They smiled for a moment. The realization kicked in that this whole situation actually wasn't that "normal" at all. Just when they thought they were okay they heard a bump. Immediately they both looked around. Wondering where the noise came from. Lucas stood up and walked forward, looking to see if there was something out of the ordinary. Max quickly followed, looking around as well. Then they both came to the same place and with a quick look around the corner. Someone was there! The three of them screamed for a moment, Lucas screaming like a little girl because of course. Then Max and the other person stopped and Max looked confused and pissed: "You?" she asked, annoyed. Lucas stopped screaming. The unknown girl looked in their direction, holding what seemed like some sort of sketchbook?
"What the hell are you doing here?" She repeated herself. The girl looked at them with confusion. "Uh, drawing?" she said. "Yeah, okay, we can see but why? Out of all places!" Lucas added. The girl looked around for a moment. "I always draw in here?" She slowly continued. "But it's freezing! Shouldn't you be inside or something?" Max responded, she was right. The girl stood up and looked at them before continuing. "Fine, I'll go." She walked forward. Heading towards the barn door. Lucas and Max looked at each other. Oh shit. They quickly stood in front of the girl, blocking the only way out. "DON'T! I mean.." Lucas hesitated. "It's too dangerous." Max added quickly, looking stern. "Why?" The girl asked. "Oh, you don't wanna kno-"
Just at that moment, one of the pumpkin vine creatures broke the hind wall of the barn. The three of them looked terrified. "What the heck is-!" The girl said, freezing when the creature came running towards them. Lucas pushed the girl out of the way and Max grabbed her stick and stood there, ready to kick some ass. The monster's vines latched onto the stick. Pulling it away from her. "Shit" Max said as the vines grabbed her and threw her around. "Helppp!!!" She screamed in a panic as she got thrown around by the monster. "Max!" Lucas stood up. Grabbing the stick that had just been thrown away and he threw it right at the monsters face. Freeing Max. She fell to the ground but immediately stood up. She quickly looked around the room and her eyes landed on a huge truck, standing there. Lucas was dodging some of the monster's attacks when Max screamed for them to follow her. The three of them jumped into the truck and Max started the engine. The girl looked horrified. "What are you doing?" she asked nervous. "You'll see" she quickly replied. "Aren't you around my age? You aren't allowed to drive yet!" The girl said in a scared tone. "Never question Mad Max" Lucas replied with a grin as she started driving the truck towards the monster, squashing it. "Huzaaaa!"
