I sat quietly listening to my music, in my thoughts really because i'm on the way to college. Even tho i was going with my twin brother Kamren i was still in my feeling cus I love my parents.
"Im so glad we moved our stuff in on friday it's hella people out here" kam said as we pulled up to the parking lot.
"naw fa real" i said looking out the window turning my beats down.
We went to school like 2 hours away from home. The school we go to is a HBCU and we did our research on it, our parents even wen here so it should be cool frl, well for the most part at least i think.
"Ugh i just missed this place i was in my prime" my momma said looking around as my dad parked the car.
"mhm that's where i lived and yo momma lived somewhere on the other side of camp" my daddy pointed out.
"im glad we in a co-ed dorm tho andddd we got bathroom in our rooms like yes i couldn't live w straight girl" i said as we started gettin our groceries out the car
"Kam go get a cart bru" i said cus i had like 4 bags in my hands
"man im sced yaw i don't know my roommate fareal or nun." i said to my parents
"i think you'll be alright mon i didn't know my roommate at first but she ended up being cool as hell so i say jus be nice give it time get out your lil shell." she said coming up gettin stuff off my face with her fingers.
i looked around the parking lot seeing all the other students out here it was some fine men coming in and out my dorm building. peeping the scenery out i see kam walking back up so we start puttin the grocery's in the cart they provide to move stuff.
"Sis Them females is" he did a chefs kiss.
"yea i seen sum fine looking men out here but yk u needa be safe n no lil hoe" i said slapping him on his shoulder laughing.
"nah fasho cus them mfks said college is da damn dirtiest place on the world" he said sideyeing me i nodded as we continued puttin the grocery's in the cart.
"ight yall want us to come with yall to put it up?" our daddy asked us
"no" "yes" me n kam said at the same time
"mane naw cmon moni i'll help u put ur stuff up" kam said wanting our parents to leave. I don't think kam care to much n ik he love our parents but i care a lot more.
"ight" i said as i went to go hug my parents.
"acting like yeen gone be tryna drive home every weekend hurry up lil baby" kam said as i was giving an long embrace
we all busted out laughing.
"Shut up kam" i said laughing walking off.
"We love yall, we Gone call yall when we make it home" our parents said and we said it back and waited till they pulled off.
Me and Kam did have a car we share for college. Being our freshman year we didn't think to have 2 since we both right here and we really go everywhere with each other if we wanted too.
We walked in our building and i lived on the first floor while kam lived on the second. so we did my groceries first.
Keying into my room i seen my roommate side of the room first and she was on her bed. When i moved in she wasn't here yet but i did go back home for the weekend till the day before class started. so this my first time seeing here.
"Heyy boo" i said walking in "is it okay if my brother comes in too" i said to the girl
"Heyy oh my gosh yes come on. your so pretty" she said sittin up in her bed.
"thank you boo you too, what's your name?" i asked her as we started putting my groceries up.
"im Ny'asia but yaw can call me Ny" she said
"waddup ny im kam" kam said introducing himself as he was putting things on top of my dresser n stuff.
"heyy" she said waving.
"So where you from" i asked as puttin the plastic bags in a drawer i had and putting the empty boxes in the cart.
"im from Michigan how bout yall" she said as he got up and got her some snacks out her lil snack drawer.
she was about my my height like 5'3 and she was slim thick. she had some tattoos on her arm n i seen one on her leg too.
"we from here but the city like 2 hours away" i said n she nodded
"yo tats fye as hell bruh" kam said as i put everything where it was post to be.
"thank you, i need me another one." she looked at her tats.
"you want me to come help you with your groceries or you okay" i asked kam.
"nah yall both gone come i know you prolly been in here all day we boutta go meet my roommate." he said and i looked at her and she shrugged and got up.

After goin to kam room and helping him with his groceries. me him and ny went to the cafe. The cafe was packed and it had a lot of different options to pick from. I ended up getting me a sandwich made with some fries and we sat in a booth.
"now i really wonder who yo roommate is" i said cus we went in there and he wasn't in there but his decor was fye n it matched my brothers lowkey perfectly.
"naw deadass based off his decor i know he gotta be coo" he said as he at some wings.
"what classes yall got this semester"
we talked for a little about our classes and we all had our freshman seminar together. My major is animal science i really love animals and i want to be a veterinarian. Kam was a business admin major and he wanted to do his own trucking business. Ny'asia was a nursing major.
After eating we walked back to our rooms. saying goodnight to my brother when we walked n and me and ny walked to our room.
