Ek Chah

The whole night was spent in grudges, regrets and anger from the past. People say the darkness brings light but it's not the case for these three people. Rajveer is still not able to believe that Naina, his wife doesn't love him. The girl who waited during his presumed death and after that. She kept faith and stayed in 10 months marriage even with his coldness. The same girl whom Rajveer made her left everything behind, care and hope.

He can take in every accusation and blame that she uttered yesterday but not the last part. Naina can't love him, his friend. Even these words in mind burns each fibre in the body and its sensation left a tingling which no ointment can subside.

Naina is standing on the balcony staring at the rising sun. She had not even bat an eye all night and is sure that would be the same with Rajveer. As he was going away, she wanted to stop him and say that her last words were a lie. She has no such feelings for Gunny and how it can be. When every part of the heart was occupied by Rajveer and the mind, wounds given by him. The palms on the railing pressed more to think about his pain and longing. It's hurtful to see the man like this broken which gets faded by ugly words keep on repeating.

Mujhe nahi pata tha tum itni desperate thi Naina...Ek baar bol deti uske room mae jaane se pehle...May be I have helped you...

She squeezed eyes to tell herself again, it was right to torment him. He said vile things that night which no woman would forgive.

Gunny steps into the next room balcony and finds her fighting alone. In the last four years, he has seen Naina grown more fierce yet reserved than seven years ago. They met in a detention centre when, he was sent to finish her off. If the pic of Naveen and Rajveer was not in that cell then the mission would have been completed. He would have done a crime that cling to the soul till the last breath.

Gunny (clears throat) : "Naina...Kab tak aise hi pareshan rahogi. Baat kyu nahi karti Rajveer se...".

Naina (glance at him) : "Kuch baat karne ko nahi hain...".

Gunny : "Teen saal ho gaye hain...Kab tak saza dogi use...Un sabh ko bhool...".

He stopped talking to see anger flicked in her orbs.

Naina : "Gunny...Aap shayad maaf kar sakte hain...Main nahi...".

Gunny : "I can understand it's difficult for you..Par uska bhi toh socho...He regrets...".

Naina : "Par main nahi...He is not my Rajveer Sir but a stranger...10 minutes mae bahar miliyega...Breakfast kae liye...".

She turns and takes long strides to be ready.

She was lonely, broken many times yet, doesn't like which was on that night. It's not that she has not heard these things before but didn't expect from the person whom she has trusted blindly. There was always a purpose for her to have justice for Naveen, parents, Rajveer or for their new life. Now, everything has been crushed by the same man who was her strength.

Rajveer came out of the room with determination to find a solution. But it shattered when saw her standing alone lost. Their eyes met and both remembered something.

Naina was trying to focus on packing the stuff rather than be more saddened. A text has popped from him informing that the helpers will reach in 30 minutes. She wanted at least a call from him and replied just, okay.

With the staff, she wraps the rest and passes already bagged along with Rajveer's.

Helper : "Mam, hum ye rakh kae baki saman bhi lae kae jaayenge...".

Naina : "Aap kitchen ka dhyan se le jaiyega aur crockery bhi. Main (points) ye do le aayungi...".

Helper : "Mam, Major Sir nae kaha....".
