It feels nice to wander-
Although I tend to do it too often. So often to the point that people have stopped texting me when I go missing. I mean it's fair, I'm usually off exploring once I get off work, my job is hell, my life is hell, the constant backlash of being abused by my boyfriend and family. Although work isn't much better either, this is the only escape I can get from everything, sometimes I contemplate never going back, I can't stand him, he makes me feel like a fucking clown, I can't handle him laying his hands on me anymore I just want it to stop

I sigh, snapping my journal shut leaving my pen wedged inside and flopping my back onto the dusty carpet making it let out a soggy smell that made me groan. I laid there soaking in my last few minutes of freedom before I had to head back to the prison I called home.

*bzzzzz bzzzzz*

My phone started to ring, I groaned and grabbed it out of my pocket, the dark room illuminated with the light coming from my phone, I squinted as my eyes adjusted to the brightness and hit accept.

"Hello?" I question as I lift my phone to my ear still not too sure whose calling as I was actively being blinded by my phone "where are you?" A familiar gruff voice belonging to my boyfriend sounded "I'm fine Liam, just in an office building on the outskirts of town, ill be heading back shortly" i retorted as i sat up and started packing my belongings back into my backpack "what have i told you about going to abandoned buildings?? How many times do i have to fucking tell you Claire, get your fucking ass home now" he shouted through the phone making me pull it away from my ear slightly "ok" i breathe as i hit the hang up button.

i take one last look around the floor of the office building i was in when something peaked my interest, a small computer in the corner of the room, the power light glowing softy, I've never noticed it before, for some reason I'm so fixated on it, I walk across the room to where it sat, I stood there for a second taking in what i was looking at, it was an old box computer that's dusty as hell and had a logo on the side that I couldn't quite make out, i brush my hand over it wiping the dust off "C&A?" I questioned quietly to myself, I looked to my right where a headset lay connected to it, I picked it up intrigued as my fingers brushed over its straps, it was a simple headset with a tan box on the outside.

*buzz buzz*

my phone went off again so i put the headset down and grabbed it out of my pant pocket as a message popped up on the screen.

"You have 20 minutes, get home now!" I scanned over the text from Liam and let out a deep breath "I'm so sick of this" i groan and run a hand down my face and sent a thumbs up in response as I clicked my phone off waking back to the stare well, i have to have been at least 15 stories up, as i entered the stairwell I wandered over to a window, the top half was broken allowing me to stick my head out i peered over the broken window looking at the soft green grass below, the light of the moon illuminating the frost that was slowly clinging to the blades making it sparkle like a million diamonds, the wind gently blowing my raven hair to the side making me shiver the cold nipping at my nose and ears "winters rolling in quickly" i mumble to myself, soaking up the view a little while longer.
