GREEN'S RESIDENCE
-------------------
The TV played mindlessly, the man not even truly watching it as he let out a deep sigh before standing up. He made his way to the kitchen, unbelievably cold to him, even though the sun shun threw the window the dark, cold atmosphere remained. Then again it had always been a cold environment ever since he had lost the one who made it have warmth and light.
The phone rang, the man quickly rushed to it, answering immediately. "Hello?" He asked, a notable tone of anticipation in his voice. "Ah, Mr. Green, I regret to inform you that no new information has been found, just like before." Said the man from the phone. "Are...are you sure?" He asked, it was silent for a moment before a reply was given. "Yes, I am sorry, Stephan but...maybe it's time you move on, it's been ten years..."
Stephan went silent before giving a simple hum and hanging up the phone. He stayed still for a moment before suddenly letting out a scream as he began to kick at the wall. "Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" He shouted, tears breaking through as he fell to his knees, sobbing loudly.
His sobbing was interrupted however as he heard a knock on his door. He stood up, quickly wiping away his tears as he made his way to the door. "What?" He asked as the door swung open before looking around, no one was present. "Damn brats." He muttered, probably a neighbor's kid playing a prank on him, however before he shut the door he noticed a simple package on his welcome mat.
"The hell?" He muttered. Stephan was sure he hadn't ordered anything, regardless the package was directed to him. He brought it inside, opening it and was surprised to see. "A VHS?" he asked himself, taking it and examining the label. "Vintage Poppy ad? Who the hell sent this?" He asked himself. He turned to his TV, inserting the VHS into the player. The TV flickered with static as the ad played, it was a simple ad, old and simple, he almost questioned why he should even continue watching until the images flickered until finally he was shown the image of a giant poppy flower painted on a door.
"What?" Is all he could say admist his confusion. He turned to the box, examining it for a return address only to watch as a folded paper fell from the box. Stephan put the box down before grabbing the page, reading it over. "Everyone thinks the staff dissappeared ten years ago, wer'e still here, find the flower."
Stephan stared at it before putting it down "who ever sent that needs to spell better but, they're still here?" He asked, looking at the note over and over. The note had the Playtime logo on the top right and the VHS was an old Poppy doll ad. Stephan's eyes went wide, the tape had shown a door with a giant flower drawn around it. He looked around his living room before his eyes landed on a photo of him and a woman, the one who had dissappeared the same ten years ago.
"Gracie..." he said, running his fingers over the photo before his eyes landed on his ring, dull but barely taken off. He quickly headed to his room, opening his closet and looking around until he found the dust covered yellow uniform shirt of Playtime. Co.
"I'll find you...I promise..."
-------------------
The sun had long set but that didn't matter much, the old abandoned factory had been as he remembered, well, slightly duller than he remembered. Time had aged the colors, paint had chipped off and the dust that covered the building wasn't exactly a sight one would like.
