PRELUDE

Two years after the Woodsboro massacre—there was no happy ending like everyone thought there would be. The three surviving best friends endured pain and suffering. Their life was no longer theirs and people painted a story of their horrors as a joke, nothing more than a scary story. But their horrors and grief were gut-wrenching and real. Especially Evelyn Cabral, the girl who dated Billy Loomis and had his child. The girl whose boyfriend went on a rampage and killed people around her just for the pleasure of revenge.

Tatum and Sidney were accepted into Windsor College and were thrilled to leave their shattered lives behind in Woodsboro. Evelyn left with her friends, but under different circumstances. Unlike Sidney and Tatum, she was not accepted into Windsor. She'd given birth earlier than her due date, which caused breakage throughout Evelyn's life.

Life stopped and began to pick at Evelyn from different corners.

A new responsibility, her son. Billy who sent letters and received no replies. Evelyn's mother who bickered and grimaced at the idea of Billy and Evelyn still together. However, Evelyn understood the reason why but her heart betrayed logic.

News reports depicted Evelyn as anything but a victim. They twisted and turned the story around until it eventually caught up to Evelyn. She received death threats from random people, letters from people who carried too much praise for Billy and Stu. It was anything but normal for Evelyn to carry on as if everything was normal.

Evelyn needed an escape from the chaos that rippled through her transparent broken world. So she did. Evelyn followed her friends to Ohio and got her first job as a waitress. Along with a new home for her son and herself. It seemed as if everything blended right in, Evelyn made changes to her appearance and people around her.

Despite the change, it did not heal Evelyn.

Her heart yearned for the one man she knew to stay away from.

Her hands ached to caress his flesh. To melt in his gaze and laugh at his cruel jokes. The boy she met when she was young and who taught her how to kiss underneath the bleachers. She loved him.

While fighting against herself—Evelyn and her friends are met with new problems. Two Windsor students are killed at a movie premiere. The next day, Sidney is attacked and another student is killed at her sorority house. Evelyn then begins to receive chilling calls and notes left on her car. A handsome mystery man begins to have a relationship with Evelyn.

Secrets begin to pour. Friendships are tested. Blood trails are still behind the three best friends, who thought they were finished with serial killers.
