The paddock at the season opener buzzed with cameras, reporters, and the familiar roar of Formula 1 engines.

But today, there was something new.

Something unexpected.

The garage doors of Red Bull opened, and the entire paddock seemed to pause.

Max Verstappen leaned against the pit wall, arms crossed as he watched the newcomer climb out of the RB car.

Luna Horner pulled off her helmet, long dark hair falling over her shoulders. She wiped sweat from her forehead and gave the engineers a confident nod.

"Not bad for a first run," Max said casually.

She smirked.
"Not bad? I was three tenths faster than you."

Max raised an eyebrow.

Across the paddock, a papaya-colored McLaren driver noticed the exchange.

"Wait..." Lando Norris said, squinting. "That's Horner's daughter, right?"

Beside him, Oscar Piastri glanced over.

"The rookie everyone's talking about."

Lando watched her a moment longer.

Confidence. Attitude. Red Bull suit.

He already didn't like her.

"Great," Lando muttered. "Another Red Bull."

Meanwhile in the Ferrari garage, Charles Leclerc leaned over the barrier while Carlos Sainz Jr. checked timing screens.

"That's Luna Horner," Charles said.

Carlos chuckled.

"Pressure must be insane. Imagine debuting with that surname."

Out on the track again, Luna pushed the car harder, chasing purple sectors.

When she stepped out of the car later, reporters immediately surrounded her.

"Luna! First female driver on the grid in years—how does it feel?"

"Do you think you can compete with drivers like Verstappen and Norris?"

Luna didn't hesitate.

"I didn't come here to compete," she said calmly.

"I came here to win."

Across the paddock, Lando watched the interview on a screen.

He scoffed.

"Cocky rookie."

Oscar shrugged.
"Sounds like you two will get along great."

Lando smirked.

"Oh, we won't."

At that moment Luna turned—and their eyes briefly met across the paddock.

Neither of them looked away.

Neither of them smiled.

And just like that, the rivalry had begun.
