Broken Promise

Prologue

Hailey, Bridget, Ryan and Conner were all in the same high school group together growing up in Willow Creek, Maine until one day in Hailey's Senior Year her parents threw her a curveball and told her that they were going to be moving to Sunhaven, Virginia within the week because Hailey's Dad got transferred there by his job. After they told Hailey that she ran to her room and threw herself down on her bed crying and screaming as loud as she could. When she was done crying for now she called her best friend Bridget and told her the news.

"I can't believe that your parents are doing that to you!" Bridget said.

"I know! They are ruining my life." Hailey exclaimed.

"Is there any way to convince them to stay here?" Bridget asked her.

"Nope, My Dad got a huge promotion and we leave in a week." Hailey said.

"What about Ryan and your life here?" Bridget asked.

"I can't live without Ryan. He and I have been together since middle school." Hailey sobbed as she said that.

Just then there was a knock on Hailey's door so she ended the call and opened her door and her mom was standing there with a few boxes.

"I know that this is a huge shock to you hun but trust us. This is the right thing to do." Hailey's mom said as she set down the boxes and sat down on Hailey's bed.

"But it's my SENIOR YEAR mom. Can't I live with Bridget until I graduate?" Hailey begged.

"I don't want to inconvenience Bridget's family by asking if you can stay there. It's better for you to come with us." Hailey's mom said.

"Ryan and I have been together since middle school. I can't believe that you're making us break up!!" Hailey shouted.

"I'm sorry dear I know that this is tough but you'll get through it and who knows maybe you'll find your soulmate in Virginia." Hailey's mom told her.

"I know that my soulmate is here and it's Ryan." Hailey said.

Hailey's mom got up and left and closed Hailey's door  to her room and Hailey started packing and crying as she picked up her phone and texted Ryan the news.

Ry, My parents told me that we have to move within a week to Virginia!! - Hailey

What?! That's horrible!! How will we be together?? - Ryan

We will find a way to be together in the future. Promise me that when I move back that we will get engaged. - Hailey

Of course, I love you with all of my heart. - Ryan

Hailey continued to pack until dinnertime and she went downstairs to eat and then went to pack some more and she continued to pack through the week until all of the stuff in her room was packed up and all of her friends came to see her off and she left Ryan until the end and they both cried in each others arms.

"You were my first kiss and I want you to be my last kiss and my forever." Hailey told him.

"I want that as well beautiful." Ryan said through his tears.

"Hailey, It's time to go now." Hailey mom shouted to her.

Ryan and Hailey gave each other one last kiss and a hug and Hailey got into the car and her and her mom drove off with her Dad following them in the moving van to Virginia.
