I Want to write a poem

i want to write a poem

that mama can see

and she'll be so proud of me .

i want to write a happy poem

so mama will laugh

because im far too young

to write a telenovela .

i want to write a pretty poem

to make mama smile

she has'nt done so

in a very long while .

i want to write a sweet poem

because mama wants love

 since grandma went to province for good

and left us here .

i want to write a poem

that isn't too real

so that maybe , someday ,

mama will heal .
