If you ever see a green glowing light in the ocean, this is your warning. Don't follow it, no matter what. If you hear a loved one's voice, or a little kids gurgles, don't go in the ocean. You will become a hero if you do. Not a hero like fighting bad guys, or dogs with three heads. You'll be fighting the demons, the mythical creatures you didn't think were real. The monsters you were scared of as a kid. People.....well more like the entities you see in your nightmares that call out to you. Most kids can't see the light. If you see the light, your one of the angels chosen ones, to save the mortals from the titans stronger than them, the monsters bigger than them, the things they can't control.

Im Audrey Wilson, and this is my story on how I became one of the most well known heroes among the world most people don't know about, the world only monsters, demons, gods, and chosen ones know about. The world called, Gloreen. This summer I moved to Georgia with my dad and his fiancée. We lived near the Atlantic ocean, and honestly, it was fun to go there everyday. I like the ocean, it's pretty. Reminds me of earth.

My mom died when I was younger. Well, at least I was told that. My mom loved nature. She'd tell me stories about some mighty hero she named me after, Adreus. Like about how he fought sea monsters that were as long as The Seawise Giant. But sometimes these stories seem too real to be fake, but all of that was before I went to Georgia, before the green light, before I knew monsters and heroes were real, in the other world.

It's the last day of school, they let me go to the middle school I'll be at next year, for the last few weeks. My only friend there is Evaelyn Crental. Maybe because we're the least popular kids and basically everyone bullies us, but she's my best friend. In math class, I see the same thing I always see out my math class window, a black Phoenix, usually in movies like Harry Potter is red and fiery, but not the one I see. It's eerie, dark, evil, has black shadows spinning around it. The bell rings, and I repack my bag, but when I look out the window, it's gone. I always see these things, and when I try explaining it, my last school kicked me out for having "mental health issues", so I've shut up. I don't wanna keep getting kicked out of school. So I don't tell anyone but my dad, and he believes me. But my stepmom thinks I'm delusional.

As I go to the bus, Evaelyn runs up to me "Hey Audrey! Can I come over after school?" She shouts out to me and she runs over. "Yeah sure." As I get on the bus, I swear I see a black figure, with glowing white eyes, and a smile too high up its face to be human, but when I fully look over, it's just a bunch of kids crossing the road to their buses. Am I probably schizophrenic? Yeah. Will my dad take me to the hospital to get tested? No, he thinks I'm just a kid self diagnosing, and turns out. It's a good thing I didn't get took to the hospital because, the amount of things in disguise who want to kidnap the kids who haven't gone into the glowing light, is a lot.

When we get to my house my dad looks panicked "Evaelyn they are coming now! We were way off on timing! It wasn't 2 years, it was 2 days! It's coming now!" My dad shouts "Dad! What's coming and how do you know Evaelyn! Also off time of what! What's going on!" I yell to my dad because, it's weird he knows my best friend, I've only mentioned her once. Plus that they were planning? Yeah something is up and I want to know what. Yeah if you know me, I hate not knowing what's going on and not knowing stuff I can't know. "Evaelyn get her stuff!" My dad yells, but out of nowhere, Evaelyns bottom half of her body becomes a snake from her toes up to her waist, she has a few scales on her face and she runs into my bedroom. "Evaelyn....?" I say quietly and confused. "Hold on." She yells from down the hall, and I'm confused how she can hear me from there, but I assume cuz of the deer ears. "Evaelyn! Why are you a snake and what's happening!" I shout as she comes out with a bag of clothes and my sword I use when I practice sword fighting. Evaelyn starts explaining everything. "Audrey it might be hard to believe but your a hero chosen by the previous heroes who are retired now I assume the hero that chose you was your mother-" Evaelyn gets cut off by me "my mom died when I was four!" I yell as my voice cracks.
