I dive way too deep inside my head
That I forget there are people ashore
Who wants to admire the sunset
Instead of swimming underneath
And maybe that is my tragedy
It makes me come across as ignorant
A fool running away from the surface
For I chase meaning in the depths
As the love offered seems too sandy
The waves crashing are relentless
There I'd rather drown in memories
Than hold specks of dust from the sea
In the vast oceans where ridges run
May I find the current of once upon
As times passes I continuously drift
Going under or back by the shore
If one might stumble over something cold
A bottle of letter washed away with hope
Open it up with careful hands and thought
There may be a truth—sharp and old.
