The room felt smaller once the door closed behind them.

Not because the space had changed-but because the distance between them had.

They stood there for a moment, close enough to feel each other's warmth, close enough that every breath felt shared. He didn't rush. He never did when it mattered. His hand lifted slowly, hesitating just a second before brushing a strand of hair away from her face. The touch was light, almost careful, like he was asking permission without words.

She leaned into it.

His palm rested against her cheek, thumb tracing softly along her jaw. She could feel her heartbeat everywhere-her chest, her throat, even in the tips of her fingers. When his forehead pressed gently to hers, she closed her eyes, letting the moment stretch, letting the anticipation build instead of breaking it.

Their kiss wasn't desperate at first.

It was slow. Warm. Lingering.

The kind that starts soft but carries weight, as if every second holds something unspoken. His lips moved against hers with intention, not urgency, and she melted into it, hands finding his shirt, gripping the fabric like she needed something solid to hold onto.

He pulled her closer, bodies aligning naturally, like they'd done this a thousand times in another life. She could feel his breath hitch when her hands slid up, when her body pressed just a little closer. The air between them grew heavy, charged with everything they weren't saying out loud.

Every touch felt louder in the quiet room.

His hands traced her back, slow and grounding, as if memorizing her. She responded without thinking-tilting her head, deepening the kiss, letting herself be felt. Time blurred. The world outside the room stopped existing.

There was no rush.

Only closeness.
Only heat.
Only the feeling of being wanted and wanting right back.

When he finally rested his forehead against hers again, breath uneven, she smiled softly-because some moments don't need words.

They just need to be felt.
