Hey loves! I know this wasn't really expected but its something that I've had in my drafts for a while. Let me know if you guys like it! Also I promise I'm working on the next chapter of Tides, just give me a bit more time. I love you all and I hope you enjoy this!
================================================================================Elie's POV.
I just moved to the OuterBanks. Everything linked to the move went well except for all of the fighting between my parents. It's only gotten worse since we got on the plane to get here.
The fighting started about four months ago and has only gotten worse since then. Every time I turn around they both are at each other's throats and act like they are about to kill each other. It all started out with only them fighting towards each other but now it has moved on to verbally coming at me and it's been rough but here is where - hopefully- I can get my new start.
Where my family might actually be a family again?
With my head held high I followed my parents out of the airport to a rental car that we have until we get a permanent one. Wheeling my luggage to the car and waitting my turn to put it in the trunk.
"Gosh Eli you're so freaking useless, do it yourself," Dad spoke harshly in which I flinched and went to put my luggage in the trunk.
"Good lord and there she goes flinching again, we don't hit you. Damn," mom stated as I tried to let it roll off the back as I got into the back seat of the car. I fasened my seatbelt as dad quickly drove out of the airport parking garage.
After driving for about a good hour we pulled into a driveway. I unbuckle and open the car door, getting out and turning to the house. I stand there for a minute to take it all in but not too long, then hurry to get my stuff before I get yelled at again. Grabbing my luggage I roll it up the steps of the front porch and open the front door of our new house.
As soon as I walk in, I am met with the kitchen right in front, if I turned to the right there would be the dining room, and in front of the kitchen there is the living room that is balanced gracefully with big glass sliding doors leading to the outside deck.
Before I could take anything else in I was faced with my mother," Your room is upstairs. Once you get up stairs the first thing you will see is a door that is a bathroom, you will turn right and go all the way down the hallway and your room is the door on the left," She stated bluntly reminding me it's better for me to go now and find it.
Walking up the stairs I do just as my mother had said. I am met with the bathroom door so I turn right, head down the hall, and open my new bedroom door on the left. Walking in I place my luggage next to the door and close it behind me. Looking up I take in the stunning room before me. Standing at the door to the right is another door, a gorgeous windowed one that leads to a balcony. In the middle of my room is my bed and to the left of the bed is a door that leads to my own bathroom and my small amount of closet space that I have been provided with.
I take in the room for a little while longer before I decide that it is time to unpack my stuff. I put on my headphones and get right to work. As I am almost finished I flinch as I feel my headphones being ripped off of my head.
"We need you out of the house," It's my mother.
I respond quietly as I try to get an answer without being yelled at," for how long,"
I then regretted my choice as I could see furry grow in my mothers eyes," don't ask questions you bitch, just get up, get out, and be back by tomorrow morning."
