Me and Shelly have been friends since we were kids and we used to spend most of our time together, but she's been quite distant recently and hasn't been talking to me.

I blinked tiredly as I woke up, rubbing my eyes and sitting up in my bed.

"...morning already?"

I grumbled, I had a terrible sleep schedule so i hadn't gotten much sleep last night.

I begrudgingly took my blanket off and stood up. I stretched and yawned, walking out of my room to get some breakfast.

As I walked past Shelly's bedroom door, I sighed.

"...are you seriously going to be still ignoring me today? Ugh... what did I even do wrong?"

I muttered under my breath, clenching my fists a little and walking faster to the kitchen.

When I arrived at the kitchen, Cosmo greeted me, unnecessarily cheerful for it being so early.

"Hi Y/N! I was just cooking some eggs, want some?"

He chirped, smiling at me while waving a pair of tongs around.

"Sure..."

I mumbled, still irritated that Shelly had been avoiding me.

I sat down at the table and leaned on my hands, resting my elbows on the table.
I glanced over at Cosmo, who was attempting to flip the egg in the air.
I watched him drop it straight on the floor with a small smile, quickly averting my gaze as he looked over at me.

"Ah! We're out of eggs..."

He defeatedly admitted, sighing and putting the pan in the sink.

"I'm gonna go get Sprout...I think he'll be able to make something good!"

He walked away, unnecessarily happy to go see Sprout.

"...gay..."

I whispered, luckily he didn't hear me.
I stood up, I knew I wouldn't be getting breakfast so I might aswell go see if Shelly's awake yet. I can at least try my luck one more time.
