~Getting Killua Back: Part 6~

Start from the beginning

Your P.O.V:

There you lay, propped up inside a gap of a dimly lit hallway against stone-cold, well, stone. You vision was groggy at best and you felt a splitting pain in your head. You were feeling extremely disoriented and tried to recall the most recent events. 'Okay, so I found Killua in a dark room.' You tried to erase the memories of seeing him all cut up and bruised and had to force yourself not to think about hugging him while he was shirtless, but of course fail miserably and turn a million different shades of red. You shake your head quickly and try to get back on to topic, 'Then when I was trying to free him, something stopped me. Someone stopped me...Who was it.... Oh right! Killua's brother. Then we started fighting and I drew my swords and they were pulsing. Then someone else entered the room and I was kicked hard into the wall and then everything went black...' You look around the hall, still to weak to get up, but you're eyes were adjusted well enough for you to assume you were still in the Zoldyck mansion by the look of the architecture. But where in the mansion, you had no way of knowing; from what you could tell, the whole place looked the same! Luckily, you didn't used your swords so for once, you didn't pass out for days. You never thought you'd feel so happy to have been kicked against a wall hard enough to be knocked out in your life. You attempted to stand, but were stopped frozen in the spot when you heard a couple voices faintly coming from a room on your right.

"-even after being threatened by Hanzo that he's cut off his legs. He said he didn't want his legs cut off, but he didn't want to surrender either." That sounded like Killua, you'd know his voice anywhere. But who was he talking to?

"What an interesting boy." The person talking to Killua sounded like a man. you remember before you blacked out earlier, the mention of Killua's father wanting to see him. Could he be talking to his father? If so, you feel like you're intruding on their privacy. You you attempt to tune them out; then you heard them mention you.

"-Come to think of it, she's was taking care of all of us throughout the exam, even when she was hurt." You hear someone, probably Killua say. "Did you know I met her before the exam? It was a while back and we were a lot younger then, but she was still the same; just as kind and caring. You know she even celebrated my birthday with me! She barely knew me a day and-"

"Kil, you seem to really like this girl." Your breath catches in your throat upon hearing this. All of the noises created y who knows what, in the mansion ceased to exist. Your ears were focused only on the conversation between the two people on the other side of the door.

"W-what makes you say that?" Killua says.

"You're eyes light up at the mention of her and when you speak of her, you can't speak of anyone else. You smile widely whenever you do."

"I do?"

"You do. So I ask, do you like her?" You take a deep breath, not really sure what you want his answer to be, not really sure you want to hear the answer, but you can't help but listen in. Your chest tightens, but your heart manages to race crazily. It beat at your rib cage, and no amount of slow breathing could slow it down. You wait for him to answer, both anxious and terrified to hear it.

"Yes... I do."  I've liked her ever since I first met her. I've just recently been able to admit that to myself and hope to soon to her."

"She's not my girlfriend." You hear Killua say.

         "Not yet." They laugh together.

You uneasily get up and lean against the wall. your limbs felt weak from having recently passed out and other recent... events. The rest of the conversation fell to deaf ears as you slowly make your way down the hall. You mind was either blank or was racing so quickly with thoughts that they just flew by in and comprehensible blur. You press both of your palms on the wall for support, you needed something animate and real to feel so that you knew you weren't hallucinating. The cold stone was was solid to the touch and kept you in place, but your whole world was spinning and you felt extremely dizzy. You stumble onto your knees and fall onto your hands and knees. The ground spun under you and it took all of your strength to prop yourself to sit against the wall once more.

The idea of Killua liking you crossed your mind, but actually hearing it was a whole different thing. the shock of it was too much to bare; when you'd first suspected it, you brushed it off as him just being a flirt. What could you do now? First Kurapika, now Killua... You admit, you felt something, something strong for both, but you could possibly like them both! They were your closest friends...What were you to do?

You were too lost in your thoughts that you never noticed Killua approaching you. He knelt down beside you and poked your cheek. "I thought for sure you'd be passed out for a few days after the way you beat the cr*p out of my brother. Until he knocked you out of course." He laughed, but you shot up from your seat, not in the mood to laugh. "What's wrong?" He asks in his usual nonchalant manner.

You think about asking him, but as you try to force the words out, they only build up in your throat. You swallow them down and put on your best fake smile. "Nothing. You just surprised me, that's all. Let's go meet the others?"

Killua leaned back, folding his arms behind his head and looked at you skeptically.  You quickly turn around and begin walking so that he doesn't have time to analyse your strange demeanor. He soon joins you at your side, but you try to stay focused on anything but him because you could feel all of the questions building up in your chest and you knew he would only answer them with some of his own. You could feel him staring at you, no doubt thinking something was up, but he didn't say anything and you didn't want to either. So, you both stayed silent your whole walk back to the Butler's Office.

As you guys can tell, it's getting pretty close to when the reader's going to have to make a choice between Kurapika and Killua.(Not close to the end, don't worry) I've actually had an ending planned out from the very beginning, but nonetheless, am really touched by all of your suggestions of how I could end it. I shows how much you guys really get into what I'm writing and it makes me so happy you guys enjoy my story enough to think of your own endings. Anyways, I'm really excited to get to the decision, so I'll be updating again soon. Thank you for sticking with me all this time and continuing to read, it means the world to me.
