Peruere was perfectly relaxed in Issei's arms.

This is when they met Issei. He had a score to settle with dark succubi and he had volunteered for these missions. Each time, Issei stood by their side against the dark succubi.

Through these bloodbaths, Mavuika had seen Issei's core, and what she had seen pleased her.

When fighting the dark succubi they also met a woman named Ren Yamashiro. As the commander of a unit specialized in the fighting of demonic entities, she has access to very confidential informations. As such, she is weary of the existence of dark succubi.

If the cold, calculating and kinda arrogant personality of Ren made her clash with Issei at first, they nevertheless managed to put aside their differences to focus on their mission.

And then, everything changed between them.

When Ren saw Issei's strength and his genuine care for his comrades, she was forced to admit that he was a warrior of immense nobility of spirit. She understood that Issei's "pervertedness" was only the tip of the iceberg and that there was more to it than meets the eye.

Similarly, Issei was forced to admit that Ren had truely exceptional capabilities, both as a fighter and as a strategist.

Their inital clash had changed to become very healthy and stimulating relationship, where Ren taught Issei to be more disciplined and Issei thaught Ren to be less serious and more soft.
