As the two walked to the school, Electra frowned suddenly.

"Dumbledore.. I don't know if you realize, but I was designed to kill. And I have no magical powers whatsoever,"

Dumbledore turned to smile at the girl.

"I understand that you were designed to kill. And I do know you have no magical powers. You do not need them for this task,"

"Okay.. Why do I need to protect this James Potter?"

"Just for safety. He's always getting into trouble,"

Electra gave a wry smile.

"Sounds like me. You know, before I died,"

"You remember yourself before you died?"

She looked at his surprised look, feeling confused.

"Well, not a lot. Just my personality. I have no memory of my name, friends, or anything else about me,"

Dumbledore nodded.

"So what do I do, besides protect James Potter?"

"Well, you will be with him at all times. Except at night," Dumbledore said, giving the girl a smile, "For his classes, you will either sit and listen to what the teachers say, or be an assistant,"

"Assistant," Electra said immediately, "I don't listen well. I know that."

Dumbledore gave another nod and stared up at the castle in front of him.

"Can you see the school?"

"Of course," Electra said with a roll of her eyes, and followed him into Hogwarts, "So what is this place?" She questioned, looking around.

"You would know,"

Electra shrugged.

"Well, I would like to ask a question without you telling me that I know. Of course I know, but that doesn't mean I don't want you to answer it,"

They walked in silence, until they reached the doors of the Great Hall.

"My head hurts," Electra groaned, "All this information. It's like a computer. I can seriously see a green, transparent screen in front of me. Even if I look at someone, it will give me an entire life story on them."

"Try putting two fingers to the side of your forehead,"

She did exactly that, and the screen in front of her disappeared.

"Blimey!" She gasped, reaching out her hands, wondering if it was really gone.

Dumbledore smiled at her and gestured towards the doors.

"This is-"

"The Great Hall. I analyzed the entire school the moment we stepped in. It gave me the exact locations of every room, and the name," She explained, and then pushed the doors open.

Immediately everyone's eyes were on her. She heard whispers as if they were right next to her.

"Any idea how to turn this hearing thing off?" She whispered.

"Press two fingers to the side of your forehead. You'll see a little icon. Press that, and press the word 'hearing',"

She pressed two fingers to the side of her forehead. The icon came up. She focused on pressing the arrow, and it went downwards, showing her abilities. She pressed on 'hearing', and everything went to normal.

"Thank Merlin," She murmured, "The computer told me it was a common thing that people say here," She explained, at Dumbledore's slightly confused look.

She noticed everyone continued to stare at her. Her gaze swept over the entire hall, and an icy cold spread.

"Is it just me or did it get really cold?"

Electra turned to the table that the person was at, and nodded slightly.

TABLE: GRYFFINDOR

HISTORY-

"I don't want to know the history, you stupid thing," She said, smacking her forehead, "I just wanted to know the name, thanks,"

The computer disappeared as she said that.

"Looks like I found another way to make that thing disappear!" She said cheerfully, with a clap of her hands. "Now, where is James Potter?"

She turned to the Gryffindor table, where a hand was raised.

"Here.. Who are you?"

"Electra.. Dumbledore?" She said, turning to Dumbledore.

He nodded.

"Electra Dumbledore," She said again.

"Dumbledore?"

"Dumbledore. Don't make me say it again,"

And then she ran over to the table, looking like a blur to the rest of the students. It was as if she had disappeared, and reappeared at the Gryffindor table.

"Well, James-"

"Mr. Potter, follow me to my office. You as well, Electra,"

Electra shrugged and ran back to Dumbledore. James followed her and Dumbledore to his office.

"Lemon Popsicle," Electra said, before Dumbledore could.

James gave her a confused look, and followed them up the stairs. James sat down at the chair in front of Dumbledore's desk, while Electra looked at Dumbledore's things.

"Computer activate," She murmured.

Electra analyzed the items, and then picked up a book, skimming through quickly.

"Interesting," She said with a nod, placing the book back on the shelf.

James watched in shock.

"What is she?"

"Your protector."

"What kind of human is she?"

"She's not a normal human- she's a superhuman. Engineered, you could say. Faster, stronger, smarter. Better hearing, vision, smell. She could run to Japan, to and from in ten seconds. She could pick up the entire school. She could probably even calculate the hardest problems in her mind in five seconds."

"She's dangerous,"

"It's a risk I'm willing to take."

"I am designed to kill," Electra said quietly.

Both of them turned to stare at her.

"And I am here to make sure you don't get hurt. I could kill you," She admitted.

James turned to Dumbledore angrily.

"You want someone who can kill me to protect me!"

"She can be changed, Mr. Potter. But, it is your choice,"

James glanced at the girl, who was running her finger along the spines of books, and then turned to Dumbledore.

"Fine."
